Prospectors Becomes #1 Blockchain Game – Right on Time
I’ve been too busy Prospecting lately to do much on STEEM, but it’s time to write up an update for this Blockchain game that I first wrote about 2 months ago when I started checking it out in the EOS Jungle Testnet. My post was titled Get Ready for the #1 Blockchain Game of 2019 and in that post I predicted that "By the end of July I am predicting that Prospectors will make it to #1 on the DApp Radar". Well here we are at the end of July and it has just cracked #1 DApp on EOS and the highest ranking game across all blockchains.

I knew it would take a little while to get some momentum behind it but I’ve actually been a bit surprised there hasn’t been even more excitement around this project as it really has set the bar for DApp Games going forward. A short time ago I took a screenshot on DApp radar and here you can see it surpassing EOS Knights with 2.7K users in the last 24 hours. Also note that the trend line to the far right is still making new highs so it has by no means peaked out.

To some here I know that writing about a DApp on a blockchain other than STEEM is a bit of sacrilege but credit needs to be given where it’s due. If you want to compare it to some of the gaming DApps here on STEEM it has left Next Colony in the dust weeks ago and it has already passed the much beloved Steem Monsters. In fact it’s even threatening to have more users per 24 hours than Steemit itself! Check it out on State Of DApps.

Anyway, I am not here to gloat or make STEEM fans sad or anything. I just wanted to shed some light on a still-underrated and new project that is taking blockchain technology and DApps forward. We may still be in Crypto Winter so any news or development has got to be good for the whole space. There have been a few SSG members trickling into the game and I would dare say that anyone who has stuck with the game is now in profit and hopefully having fun at the same time. The good people who have linked up with me to join my operation all seem to be doing fairly well and the token price also seems to be relatively stable.

I've been tempted to have a look, I know Luke Stokes has been recommending it too.
Would be nice to diversify a bit.
Yes, I have bumped into Luke on there and he's started building some tools for the game too. I have a lot of respect for Luke.
The game has a free-market capitalist economy that I expect might appeal to you. It is fascinating to see how it is playing out. A few groups are trying collectivist stuff but their "members" are going horribly IMHO ;)
About time somebody tried socialism. Strange that it's not going so well.
Some players are already calling for minimum wage. It's quite amusing to see the parallels. If STEEM was a social experiment then this is an economic experiment.
We need more developers with these kind of ideas on the Steem blockchain. I was really pissed finding out Magic-Dice was a scam and that left a sour taste in my mouth, hopefully we are able to get back on track
Lots of scams around the place. It helps to be a bit cynical and paranoid...and I am both of those :)
I've really enjoyed the game. Shane the steem blockchain couldn't come up with something similar
I don't think it would work so smoothly on STEEM. For a start STEEM has 3 second blocktimes so each micro-action would have a much bigger delay. That says nothing about having to interpret custom_json instead of execute native smart contracts in C++
Honestly, the blockchains are worlds apart when it comes to DApps.
Great call and I'm a little miffed I didn't stick with it but have had other stuff going on and didn't feel I could dedicate the time.
Glad it's working out for you :)
I get it. Life gets busy and you've got to have the time to be able to spend it :)
Hey Bugged. Nice to see you again (not that I've been around either except for SWM and bits of commenting). Was this an airdrop or did you have to buy tokens?
Thanks choo. No airdrop here. You don't even have to buy tokens to play, though I did because I wanted a quick start. I've helped a few people get going who haven't invested anything other that their time. In some ways it's a different kind of Proof-of-Brain based on economic strategy.
I've been having a great time playing and I'm not much on games. Thanks for your time and the help you have provided me. It's greatly appreciated!

Glad to hear it. It's good to see stand-up SSG members like yourself in the game and I'll always try to find paid work for you, or just general strategy advice if you need any.
So . . . . I was really sad to see that registration was closed. Do you know of any way to get invited (or when registration will be re-opened)? I would love to join your operation -- and can bring some serious bot-producing skills.
I'm sorry. My error . . . . I was following an old link to the beta site . . . . (they should have a link to the live site instead of just a "registration closed" message :-( ).
So . . . . are you looking for more people to join your organization?
So....you self vote both your comments without upvoting the actual post and then offer bot-producing when botting in the game is actually cheating.
No thanks. I think we will be fine without you.
Congratulations @buggedout!
Your post was mentioned in the Steem Hit Parade in the following category:
Sadly you can only login via Facebook or Google, what makes this game completely uninteresting for me and many more..
