WILD.
I recently was with a friend.
She is also in a graduate school program.
Slightly, ohsoslightly, perfectionistic -- and FUN.
Oh!
youjustdonotknow.
She is just so radiant.

This woman is: the definition of beautiful.
andyoucannotfindheranywhere
with a charming, engaging personality.
Being with her makes you beam and feel happier.
And when she talks about her past to recount how "wild" she was.
She puts her hands to her face, hold her head and slowly rocks
-- only for a moment.
Before she perks back up an laughs,
"I was so wild when I was single,
we could never go back to those days.
Her eyes dart up and meet mine --
AS IF being WILD was "just the worst",
she said it -- as if she is ashamed.
Her wild lionness energy is my favorite part about her.
Since, its my favorite part about myself.
And it makes me think.
It makes me feel.
It makes me ask.
"Why are women,
who were born wild,
who were born in this concrete jungle --
whywhywhywhywhy
whywhywhywhywhy
whywhynotbewildwhy
whywhywhywhywhy
Why are women so afraid of being wild?"
Because there is a difference between wild and reckless.
Perhaps they overlap from time to time.
But do not confuse the feelings, this could lead to shame.
And why would you EVER want to feel shame about the best feeling in the world?
The wild(h)erness can add to your life if you embrace that inner shadow.
This is my message message to all women:
Don't be afraid to be around NOUNS:
people, places or things.
that make your heart skip a beat,
that makes you unsure of the future.
And scares you out of the past.
Wild catches you in the present moment when you
heart
drops
and
your
skin
sweats
and
your
face
smiles
and your hairs
s t a n d o n e d g e
and you think:
What am I even doing right now? And that question makes you smile. Because you my friend, are being
WILD.
Girls, shame won't get you to heaven.
So let's rejoice a bit in being human, in being alive.
Let's live in the present moment more -- when life feels so consuming.
overwelming, pulsating, just drenched in the present moment.
Thanks for reading, glad you stuck around. I really love poetry. Free Verse is one of my favorite ways of expression, and lately I've just felt the need to write more in my spare time. When I need a break from studying I write. It's so freeing to be able to express myself more creatively these days. I am not really sure what my instagram is turning into at the moment. I still love plants -- obviously. But, I don't have as much time to spend with looking and playing with herbs. So, it's had to take a back seat.
This has also been the first times in my life when I am not doing SOMETHING artistic as part of my daily life. I feel like massage filled that void in so many ways, it's incredible to look back on how it gave me such an amazing outlet. Quite honestly, UNLESS you were a massage therapist... that statement would never make sense. Massage when it is hours and hours on end turns into a dance.
And I would write and had all this time to craft and make things. And I have felt so enclosed by a lack of art in my life lately. I am just grateful to have began writing again. I am coming back slowly. I feel like after you give birth there is part of the woman who dies herself -- and she needs to be reborn. And it's not over night -- but I feel the metamorphosis. It's really fun to start watching the seasons of life change.
I see all these posts on facebook shaming women as they grow older. I for one LOVE growing older. I frequently slip up and tell people I am one or two years older. It's nearly February, which means I will subconsciously begin announcing my age as 29, publically -- and without any thought. It's quite an oddity. I love change, honestly it's all I've really known. And quite frankly, my life keeps getting better and better as I gain more control and stability in the drivers seat. So, I am grateful to share with you all. I have such a wonderful community here online that I've built over the years. I am so grateful to speak with you and MEET you!
I am really excited that I met one of you recently!
Let me know if you like this stuff? I'd love to start creating more poetry, or just writing more often about different topics -- something a bit more related to what I am learning now, or on the opposite hand -- anything completely unrelated to science-y things. I am thinking of new ideas all the time.
Until next time.

It's a great poem. Don't be afraid to be around nouns. Drenched in the present moment. Great stuff.
@mariannewest posts a daily prompt for a five minute freewrite you might like. Very supportive community!
I think #mindfulness tag might work well for you. Also #naturalmedicine for anything healing.
