Talipopart - A Pop-Up Shop
It's that time of the year again where people spend their hard-earned money to buy gifts for people they wanted to impress love to show that they care and they have lots of money even though in reality they don't. The Art Portal Gallery decided to set up a pop-up shop for all things art inside the gallery.
It is called a Talipopart which means, well, technically, they got it from the word talipapa which means wet-market and pop art, which is a combination of pop-up shop for art. So basically the concept of this one was to look like a wet-market but sell any shit art product you would like to sell.
Several artists from the area were invited. Art students, professionals, hobbyists... they were welcome to drop there anytime and collect the profit anytime. No gallery commissions.
Prepare cos you gonna use that finger a lot...to scroll down. ;)
I dropped my small paintings there. All acrylic on paper.
I have stickers, prints, and bookmarks for sale as well. Those small prints were hand-painted with acrylic on top. Just doodling some random shit. Stickers and bookmarks were from paintings and photography. Some were details of a painting. There were only a few stickers left when I took this photo because they were selling fast. My bookmarks were selling fast too, and I didn't expect that cos I never thought bookworms would visit here. xD
The prints, on the other hand, didn't sell much. Because honestly, if you're gonna ask me what to do with them, I also don't know. Hahah. They were too small so you can't frame them. Probably put in your wallet and let them rot there? Or give to someone I don't know really. Lol.
It's okay though cos I already thought of something to make it useful. They'd make lovely calling cards for sure. And unique. :p

So many of them the artists sprit seems to just pop right out of the painting. I’m always amazed at the talent and effort it took for people to get to that point.
Cool stuff! Please follow a fellow artist.
Congratulations @hiddenblade!
