Hi Steemit! I do art stuff

Hi Everyone,
I'm new here and I made a steam ship. A steam ship for steemit.

Steamship

I go by Allen Hart, and I've recently decided to work on more longer pieces and then post process stuff here, so that's what most of my posts will be.

My main other social media is an instagram, username alnhart.art, so some of my pictures might come up as being there too. Here's the ship, I mention my steemit name there.

Here's a Monty Python inspired killer rabbit that I made back in September

If anyone has any advice for this place, I'd be glad to hear it, since I'm still figuring out how to navigate around and everything.

There is a LOT to learn here. Best advice? Take it one step at a time. Don't try to learn too much too fast.

Firstly, there are lots of different tags and SOME of them offer ADDITIONAL token rewards. So, you can earn STEEM and other things!

Steem-engine was created for people to create their own tokens for specific things.
We call these communities TRIBES. You can pop over there and see all the different tokens (some tokens don't have tribes).

To EASILY view the active TRIBES (that do offer tokens) you can go to https://steempeak.com/tribes. SteemPeak is one of many (and the best) user interfaces for the steem blockchain.

Oh! And keys... I would suggest using the browser extension Keychain. It's totally safe and your keys are stored encrypted. There is a Chrome and Firefox version.

I like the colors and style that you used for the ship. It reminds me of some of my favorite childhood books

You should also not let your voting powerdown under 90% That will create diminishing returns on the vote you cast.
This equals to 11 100% votes casted a day, but you can always split it up, so you only voting with 25% e.g.
It does matter that much in the beginning, content it better for you.

I use @steempeak on my pc. But @esteemapp on my mobile :D

Ye I know. I did the same thing in the beginning :p
When you gt more steem power(sp) you can still make meaningful upvotes but with less power, meaning you can give to more people :D

I did a lot of commenting when I started and people happily upvoted comments back in the day, now it takes a bit more work.

I suggest you just create art og publish it here and join a few contests :D

Yeah, I'm used to upvotes to just show appreciation. It'll be nice when I get enough sp that I can adjust votes like that.

Until then, I'm trying to make art more often, which I'll put up here and I'll definitely look for some contests. I'll also check out the app you mentioned in your other comment. I need a better way to browse and post things. Thanks for your advice :)

Also if you comment and post through @esteemapp you get estm which allow you to boost your posts if they are good enough :D (As long as it isn't spam or completely shit, they boost most posts)
