La luna! As proclaimed by Gregory in Bill Forsythe's utterly delightful coming of age film, Gregory's Girl.
Claire Grogan, a key member of the cast, was lead singer with Altered Images. She later penned a story for children about a young girl who forms a pop band.
The name of the girl in the book is Tallulah Gosh, which Clare had thought about using as her own stage name.
Recounting how she was persuaded otherwise led to the name appearing in the New Musical Express, back when it was weekly print media, and was appropriated by a two young Oxford students bonded over a mutual admiration for Glasgow indie band The Pastels.
Tallulah Gosh, the band, released six singles and have a beautifully mellow sound with nicely crafted lyrics.
Joint founder, Amelia Fletcher, went on to a career in economics while her fell The Pastels admirer, Elizabeth Price went on to become a Turner Prize winning artist.
