Attending meeting in Yangon

Dear friends,

The day before yesterday, I travelled to Yangon to attend annual meeting for the trustees of the vippassana centers from all around Myanmar. Today is the meeting day and this is the first time for me to attend this meeting, which has held 10 times aready yearly.

At the meeting, the trustees from each meditation ceter presented their activities and progress status in the previous year. I have learnt that we are working (actually volunteering) under the International Dhamma Giri Vippassana Association (Myanmar) and the meditation technique was registered with the association name. And I had a chance to meet all the assistant vippassana teachers, who were teaching at centers around Myanmar.

And it was the first time I arrived Dhamma Jodi Vippassana center, where the meeting was held and I had a chance to explore the precinct of the center. It is a cool place with many big trees around, which help reduce the summer heat. Below are some of the photos taken in the compound. And I had a chance to obverve stupa type pagoda, which had small caves under and inside it for meditation.

The meeting took the whole day. And it is the activity for today.
