My Actifit Report Card: April 21 2022
My self imposed sabbatical
I haven't done a thing over the Easter period.
It became obvious that I needed to just stop.
Accordingly I haven't recorded any Actifit activity which is a bit of a shame.because I've had some pretty cool experiences and seen some out of the way places.
Here's a couple of picks from the week.

Lovely photos!
You have some awesome places to walk, Mark.
Great looking pictures.

Yes, the forest is just a few minutes' drive away and I haven't made enough use of it, although I'm starting to. There's a "famous" Dandenong ranges walk called the 10000 steps that I aim to do soon. It's pretty arduous by all accounts, (One of my daughters used to run it during preseason hockey training) and I'm looking forward to the challenge
That sounds awesome, Mark
What a great place for a walk. It is beautiful. Thanks for sharing on ListNerds.
Thanks for the comment - yes it is beautiful. It's kind of amazing that during my youth I never took the time to enjoy places like this. I'm making up for lost time now.
We all need some time off sometimes. It's good that you know what you need for yourself.
Lovely photos, it looks like a nice spot! What kind of birds are they? They look like some sort of parrots but not sure if you're in a region with parrots.
The region is teeming with parrots and cockatoos. I'm pretty sure that those particular birds are Rosella parrots
Oh wow. They're lovely. Must be really nice to see them in the wild.
I hear them here all the time but have only seen one parrot so far. I do see a lot of eagles flying by though.
Yes, the parrots are a pretty special bird. I only saw them occasionally where I used to live, but here on the edge of the Dandenong Ranges, we're treated to seeing them on a daily basis. Green, blue and red are the predominant colours. The birdlife around here is just phenomenal - I've even spied a trio of black cockatoos perched in a tree outside my house - massive birds. Seeing eagles is pretty special. I was more likely to see them out where we used to live in Western Victoria where there are more open plains.
