A palm day and much more [Eng/Esp]
The day dawned beautifully, any threat of rain was gone, I think it is because of what today means. My girls I took them to their aunt, on the way, I could see how people were going with palms in their hands to the church.

I stopped for a while out of respect, and noticed that there was the father who was in the parking lot of the church, blessing the palms that people were holding. I tell you that today is Palm Sunday, an activity related to Holy Week.
This year it was April 13, but its date changes, because it has also been celebrated in March. The blessing of the palms is an act of veneration, since it predicts the events that end with the death and resurrection.

These palms are kept in the houses as a sign of protection and symbol of Holy Week. I remembered seeing my grandmother years ago doing that, placing it in a visible place in the house.
After that I went home to make a delicious lunch to enjoy with my girls, because my husband was out. It was time to rest; however, the heat was desperate, one of the girls started to play a game of buckets to distract herself.

I went to see my parrots, at that moment they were eating and kissing, well, that was the impression they gave me. The sunset had arrived and an orange sky was visible, giving the appearance of a calm atmosphere.

It was time for dinner, so I went out to look for bread, which I had to walk several blocks to get. The area where I live was left without a bakery, it is unfortunate, and having the bread in my hands, we went home happy.

El día amaneció hermoso, cualquier amenaza de lluvia se fue, creó que es por lo que significa hoy. Mis niñas las llevé a que su tía, en el camino, pude ver cómo las personas iban con palmas en las manos a la iglesia.

Me detuve un rato por respeto, y observé que estaba el padre que se encontraba en el estacionamiento de la iglesia, bendiciendo las palmas que tenían las personas. Les cuento que hoy es Domingo de Ramos es una actividad relacionada con Semana Santa.
Este año tocó 13 de abril, pero su fecha cambia, porque se ha celebrado también en marzo. La bendición de las palmas es un acto de veneración, ya que predice los sucesos que terminan con la muerte y resurrección.

Estas palmas las guardan en las casas como señal de protección y símbolo de la Semana Santa. Recorde a ver visto a mi abuela hace años hacer eso, colocarlo en un lugar visible de la casa.
Después de ahí me fui a mi casa a realizar un rico almuerzo para degustarlo con mis niñas, porque mi esposo había salido. Tocó descansar; sin embargo, el calor era desesperante, una de las niñas comenzó a jugar un juego de cubos para distraerse.

Fui a ver a mis loros, en ese instante comían y se daban besos, bueno, esa fue la impresión que me dieron. El atardecer había llegado y un cielo con tono color naranja se divisaba, dando la apariencia de un ambiente tranquilo.

Ya tocaba la cena, así que salí a buscar el pan que me costó conseguir, tuve que caminar varias cuadras. La zona donde vivo quedó sin panadería, es lamentable, ya teniendo los panes en mis manos, nos fuimos contentas al hogar.
