My Actifit Report Card: January 30 2024

Hey Actifitters,

Great surprise yesterday when I checked outside for the first time late morning: snow! Not a whole lot but for sure more than the dusting mentioned in the forecast.

Of course, because it wasn't cold, it was heavy and wet snow, but it doesn't matter to Kaia, that's still perfect to play!

Obviously we had multiple play sessions in the yard, but once again our main walk of the day started late, just after dusk this time. We can already see on the streets that snow will not stay long.

But it's still very good to see the pathway to the forest all covered like that!

And even better in the forest itself!

As soon as Kaia was off-leash, she went crazy and was trying to lure me into the craziness!

But when we arrived near the mulch pile, she followed protocol and climbed on top of it.

We don't always go very deep in the forest at night, but with the snow the visibility was so much better, we went everywhere, including the teepees, so Kaia could also visit of course.

Then the playground and picnic area to catch a couple Cubiverse vaults.

And finally to the forest exit via a different trail.

That was already a pretty good walk, especially in heavy snow, but we added some distance along the edge as well.

And after one last stop at our tree friend, whose leaves don't even seem to be affected by the snow, we started our walk back, with of course a few detours in the neighborhood.

This new snow, however little it was, really helped my motivation. Too bad it will most likely melt in just a few days. It's better than nothing, right?
To finish the day, a little running around in the yard (Kaia didn't complain, more playing in the snow!!) were just enough to pass the bar. I am back in the #poprzeczka competition!
