winter is back and the visa thoughts : April 1 2025
wet wet wet wet wet!
rain rain rain rain rain!
cold cold cold cold cold!
oh my this is really getting out of hand. this rain has again propelled the temperature to go down below 10 degrees celsius (50 degrees fahrenheit). is winter back? i really thought that we are so over winter and in the middle of spring. but how how are we back back back? i just can't, my brain is freezing. i had to turn on the heater again. this must be nature's prank, today was april fools' day. what a way to prank people in japan.
by lunch time i cooked some vegies. no meat this time, all vegies. i don't know what i was thinking but it tasted fine. it sure lacked the protein flavor but it was totally fine. earthy leafy flavor with some salt.
but by night time, that rain did not stop at all. i can sometimes still go out with a little rain but not this time. it was just too wet, too rainy, too cold. no nightwalking tonight then, and that will again affect my step count. tonight will be spent walking on the treadmill. with no other choice, i hopped on the treadmill, opened youtube and viewed some videos while walking.
as i was walking, i got into thinking mode. i got wondering why it got harder to get a japanese working visa recently. harder might not be a good word but it definitely got slower. i heard news that people have waited for 5 to 6 months and still waiting for eligibility certificates to be released. that is certainly slow, and it would really affect employees. but does that mean that japan is receiving an exceedingly numerous requests recently though? or are they just doing more checks before allowing work? i really don't know why they do, japan economy is not really getting any better, prices are soaring even. so why choose to work in japan? and if it is the latter, which checks were added and why? i really don't know.

In the south the same thing is happening to us, we want the summer to go away and when we are happy the terrible heat returns. But don't worry, the weather will inevitably change
I think winter may finally be done here, but it is constantly raining it seems now. I do hope winter passes you by soon. The meal looks fantastic. It would be something I could gulp down. NO worries about resorting to indoor activities. I need to get back to walking myself.
