busily not busy : August 26 2024

it was just so hard to focus on something today, there were just so much going on that i really had a hard time focusing on one thing. for starters, i was alone today at work; my co-worker was on leave. normally we do not have that much things to do. but today, now that i was alone of all days, tasks poured in. and it required such a long time to complete, it's as if i was toyed by the circumstance.

i would have wanted to give more effort to my video editing skills, but time won't allow me to. work was the priority after all, whatever free time i had was devoted to video editing. of all the times, i perfectly chose this day to write an article with a video. the moment i got off work, i started writing my hive post. yes, long posts takes a lot of time to write. luckily my creative juices kept on upwelling, there was no stopping. in no time, i was halfway done: extra tidbits and the video posting will be done later. for now, i'll go to the groceries first.

monday was grocery day this time. i was busy lazing around yesterday afternoon, i was not in the mood to go buying the weekly needs. so now here i was scrambling of what food to buy. of all days, the available banana where not the philippine ones, i guess no banana for the week; it's not that i am picky but it was a resolve i made. of all days, vegetables was a scarcity in that shop; was i too late? went home with the lacking supplies and continued the article.

everything went smoothly, except for the video. it was hard posting a video recently, this is my second time this week, and like the first time i was having a hard time. if i hadn't spent some time on that video then i would have forgone that, but no. i am the kind of person who will push for things to happen the more time i devote myself on the task. this video has to be posted.

my roommate was already begging me to go to the gym, i must have sworn at threespeak for this video uploading errors. knowing that i can still work on it at the gym, i decided to have back day for now. for some struck of luck, the video was successfully published while doing the first routine: talk about dedication. it has been a while since i shared a gym routine, so here it is for reference.

pull ups (9 x 12)
barbell bent-over row (65kg x 3 x 12)
shrugs (55kg x 3 x 20)
chest supported bumbbell row (35kg x 3 x 12)
single arm seated row (38kg x 3 x 12 per arm)
a set each of the following with no rest between sets

  • face pull (18kg x 3 x 12)
  • straight arm pulldown (22kg x 3 x 12)

reverse fly (32kg x 3 x 12)
lat pulldown (50kg x 3 x 12)

and to add more, i had an hour in the elliptical as well. the nightwalker couldn't go out and got tied with tasks today. the elliptical is the best i could do for now. these sweating at least gave me a much needed endorphin boost. finally went home at 12 midnight just like cinderella.

Sometimes busy days are good for us to keep us on our toes. 😀

At least you were able to still get to the gym and get some type of workout in. Good for you.

a single busy day is enough for me this week. having a nearby gym makes you go anytime of the day.
