Happy May Day everybody! We headed to church ⛪️ this morning and our retired pastor Carl, gave the sermon. It was nice 😊

After we got home , we’d planned on meeting up ⬆️ with Jan and heading to the tiny house 🏠 for the May Day neighborhood gathering. The party had already started! We got a tour of the tiny house-it’s super cool 😎, and enjoyed lively conversation as well plus some good food. Soon however, we needed to head out for a hike 🥾 So we bid the gang farewell and headed out.

It was decided to go to Westergreen’s, as Soaring Eagle was off limits because of a wedding.

It was a bit of a cloudy ☁️ day. This was about the most sun ☀️ we saw.

The views were stunning as always!

Upon looking 👀 towards the ground, I found the fungi in the first picture. Such a lively color! I have another angle I took but am saving it for another post.

I had two hitchhikers in my backpack 🎒 today! @actifit-lamb had come along for the hike 🥾🐑 and had brought with her yet ANOTHER newly found family member!!

Meet Wilbur-Lamb! He hails from Michigan and just showed up on our doorstep the other day! We don’t turn away family, so it looks 👀 like he’s here to stay. The lamb grapevine must be pretty active out there! Anyway, he’s a bit shy and very quiet. He came from a large sheep farm where there were so many lambs, he kind of got lost in the shuffle. He’s never been hiking 🥾 and said that he’s never seen a mountain 🏔 before either.

It was time ⏰ to head for home 🏡 It was a nice hike and the first time in almost a week I’ve been able to get out and stretch my legs!🥾🏔

I went into the bedroom just a while ago to find both @actifit-lamb and Wilbur-Lamb sleeping 😴 in a pile on the bed 🛏 The hike must have done them in!

I don't think so, lol! Of course, I don't know if there is a 'golden mushroom' variety, as they are awesome to take pics of but I don't much care for them from a culinary perspective! Thanks for stopping by!

Hi @prechidi! It is a type of fungus I found growing on the ground! Very colorful and I suspect, very poisonous. Mushrooms and fungi always intrigue me, especially if I can get my camera under one to see the underbelly of it. It is so intricate and unexpected most times. This one, however, grew too closely to the ground; I could not take the shot.
