My Actifit Report Card: January 28 2025

avatar

Local trains passing by, clogging up traffic multiple times a day in a tiny town. The signaling system put in place is simply idiotic, having to wait for the train even if it's stationed a long distance away. Or, as the train line splits the entire town in half, depending on what your driving route is, you have a high chance of waiting for the train to pass 2 or even 3 times(or even 4 if you feel adventurous), making a 2-minute journey turn into 10-15 minutes or more.

You call this a local train? The one we have here is worse than that…

So much different in over here sometimes they don’t even signal the trains coming until it’s right on top of you!😳
My son worked for the railroad a while back he said fatalities happen all the time !😬

I would take it that it is powered by diesel? I don't see any crossing gates keeping the cars separated from the trains. Do people get hit by them much?

Our son used to work for the railroad, and there were many horror stories of cars, people and animals that were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Thanks for sharing my friend!

The trains are electric, there are no barriers but you can see flashing lights and hear sound signals at each crossing announcing the coming of a train. People don't get hit, it's mostly cars and often enough :)) the train goes really slow through the town so I don't remember any fatalities in years.

That is a good thing! Here, the trains move fairly quickly and are often so long and so heavy, it can take up to a mile to actually stop.
