Blackbutt Creek - first 2025 orchids : January 3 2025
My wife is still sick. We canned the idea to drive down to Shoalhaven Heads for the weekend. Stay at home and recover. My day turned into catch up on the week's investing stuff and Internet Marketing stuff. The more I dig there the more I fund stuff had fallen apart. Slow build in free time
Walked late afternoon down to Blackbutt Creek - a few garden flowers on the way. No idea what this is - eucalyptus is all I know
A few of these lilies flowering

One of the old houses down the street - no car parked today
Just a few bonnet orchids flowering
Cryptostylis erecta
Found one slender hyacinth orchid open - dipodium variegatum - all the others got fungal droop with a few seeded
Long walk to find next bonnet orchid
The white ball caught my eye. Perfectly formed cicada husk - smallest I have seen but still with some colour. They dry out really fast
Trigger flower just opening. Got to say there were not a lot of plants flowering
Dampiera purpurea - picked this for photo as there is a good background close up
Stopped at a spot to check on bonnet orchids - this moth was at my feet
