Walking Through the Mist and Finding Beauty and Mystery in the Grey

Today’s walks—plural, because yes, one was to the doctor (nothing serious, promise)—added up to over 5km. It felt longer, though, because the weather was… well, bleak. Grey skies, damp air, and a chill that makes you second-guess every step out the door.

But sometimes, bad weather hands you a good mood—just not the happy kind. There’s a certain mystique to misty mornings. The trees fade into the background like ghostly silhouettes, canals stretch on into infinity, and fields feel endless and untouched. It’s moody. It’s dramatic. It’s the perfect stage for photography.

Sure, I’m craving a little vitamin D, but until the sun decides to show up, I’ll make the most of this eerie, dreamlike scenery. Walking through the mist is a reminder that every day doesn’t have to be bright to be beautiful. Steps were taken, photos were snapped, and perspective was gained.

Some really great photos, I love that weather with things just appearing through the mist and fog, really eerie. I was driving into work yesterday wishing I had a camera with me (and I had some talent!) to capture the moments

I try to always have a camera with me, I always have one in my car as well. Try to do that too, your talent will start developing soon enough if you practice more often!
