There’s something about a misty canal that feels like walking through the pages of a moody novel. Today, the sun clocked out early—okay, let’s be honest, it didn’t show up at all—but that didn’t stop me from hitting the path after work.

At 4pm, with just 35 minutes until sunset, I laced up for a 5km walk. Sure, it wasn’t a postcard-perfect scene of golden skies and dramatic lighting, but there’s a unique beauty in foggy stillness. The water doubled as a mirror, reflecting bare trees and even the occasional string of holiday lights on a docked boat.

Moments like these remind me why consistency matters. Whether the weather serves you brilliance or just a soft, gray mood, the goal is simple: keep moving. The steps count, and so does the scenery. Who needs the sun when the mist tells its own story?

Thanks! Yeah, I like misty days as well, they convey a very special mood, and I love that! However, we've been seeing almost nothing else than mist, fog and clouds in the past few days/weeks/months (less then 3 days of visible sun in the whole of December), it's becoming a bit too much :-D

It used to be yellow, when I was a kid, but it looks pretty white now. Quite a lot of other people have mentioned that too, along with its rays feeling more intense than before. Whatever its color, I'm sure that it will be like an old friend that you haven't seen in a while! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Still think it is a pity, and people should communicate about it more. I’m regularly checking the comments on Indeedly or thestrider for instance, and nearly all I see are positive comments. No need to downvote it seems to me…
How are the BBH bot and alivebot doing with regards to downvoting? Haven’t checked those…

Indeedy it sure is! Yes, that's my feeling too. I don't know how yet, but I know that we will rectify the situation. The PIZZA bot leaves one collapsed reply for the first tipper under posts, but not comments or replies, and then that first reply is edited every time someone else tips PIZZA. I don't think that there's anything graphical, no. I'll double check, though. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Yeah, it sure is. It's also interesting that the @pizzabot gives different replies, on in English, and one in Spanish, for PIZZA and ESPIZZA, and curiously the Spanish version leaves normal tip replies. Another bot to look into regarding our bots is the HUG bot, as it leaves notifications, but no tip replies on posts or comments/replies. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

It sure is! Yes, the HUG bot is another good possible model. The WINE bot doesn't leave any replies, but it does leave notifications, and it makes an automated post listing the successful tip calls. If we did it like the WINE bot, we could get the bots upvoted again, and we'd keep all the tip spam out of comments. 😁🙏💚✨🤙
