Sunshine, Chaos, and a Freezing Reset

Some days, you don’t walk because you want to—you walk because you need to. Today was one of those days.

It all started with a chaotic morning at work. (Pro tip: never make a code change in production without telling anyone. Just don’t.) By lunchtime, my brain felt like a scrambled mess, and I knew I had to reset.

So, I bundled up and stepped outside. It was freezing—like “cold enough to make you question your life choices” freezing. And the wind? Sharp enough to remind me why scarves are a thing. But then there was the sun—oh, the glorious, rare winter sun!

Here’s the kicker: December’s been stingy with sunlight around here—just 6 hours and 11 minutes in total up until yesterday. But today? A generous two full hours of sunshine. It felt like a cosmic nudge to step outside, breathe in the icy air, and shake off the morning stress.

By the time I finished my walk, I felt…lighter. More focused. Sometimes, a brisk walk in the sun isn’t just a nice-to-have—it’s a non-negotiable.
