Open Mic: October 22 2023

Last night was the Jammers open mic at the Angel Share. I was undecided until late but meant to go when a message came in from Dee Jay about one at the Woolpack in Wilstead that he was running for Adam.
Well, I had the choice between a 23 minute with parking or 45 minute with the risk of not being able to park up anywhere.. And on top of that: it looked a rather nippy affair outside of Harpreet's whisky bar judging by the pics I saw earlier..

Lewis had organised a buffet which was tempting but still it was warm and cosy in Wilstead and we had a violin in attendance!
So far I've seen Julie play guitar; she plays mostly quieter picked stuff like "Blackbird" or "Landslide" and beautifully at that.

Here she performed "Creep" by Radiohead to a backing track. Brilliant!

We had a nice time and it wasn't too cold. I've not been to Wilstead for a while and never played there.

Maybe it's just Jim's thick coat that made it look like it was.. lol
You looked quite reasonably dressed.
It's a nice little pub, not many punters there though, but I don't know on normal days.
Hope the food was nice? Anything for us veggies?

The veggie samosas were nice and not spicy. There was lots of cheese and other snacks.
