Hoy no era un día más en el mundo del fútbol, Hoy se jugaba el Clásico más importante y apasionante de este maravilloso Deporte, Hoy se enfrentaban Real Madrid y el FC Barcelona en una nueva edición de la Final de la Supercopa de España disputada en tierras saudíes.

Ambos equipos llegaban a este encuentro con más dudas que certezas en cuanto a rendimiento se refiere. El FC Barcelona llegó a esta Supercopa con una victoria justa ante el Atlético de Madrid en la capital española en un partido correspondiente a la Liga Santander. En ese encuentro los Blaugrana supieron aguantar el resultado y llevarse unos tres puntos importantísimos aprovechando que un día antes el Madrid había claudicado ante el Villarreal en el estadio de la cerámica. Luego les tocó ese partido que fue entre semana ante el Real Betis en las Semifinales de Supercopa, los culés pudieron sacar el boleto a la Final mediante la vía de la muerte súbita ante un muy aplicado y respetable equipo del ingeniero Pellegrini.

Por su parte el Madrid, con un mal resultado ante el Villarreal y un peor rendimiento, fue a tierras medio orientales para disputar el partido ante el Valencia CF. El Madrid sacó el pase a la Final pero siendo para mí, superados en el juego por el equipo Ché a lo largo de los 120' minutos de juego. Al final la jerarquía y la experiencia de manejar estos momentos les sirvió para poder disputar este trofeo ante su máximo rival.

Xavi decidió poner para este partido una formación parecida a la que utilizó contra el Atlético de Madrid por el partido de liga, con la excepción de que en aquel once titular estaba Ansu Fati en sustitución de Robert Lewandowski. Esta fue la alineación del Barcelona para disputar esta final:

En el medio Gavi y Pedri estaban con libertad de movimientos y a veces hasta permutaban posiciones para confundir al medio merengue y para así sacarse las referencias de encima.

Por el otro lado, Carletto Ancelotti optó por su mejor once que tenía a disposición, exceptuando por supuesto, las bajas de David Alaba y Aurelien Tchouameni. Los titulares fueron los siguientes en el característico 4-3-3 de los de Chamartín:

Y fue así, una de las mayores claves del partido fue esa, Gavi o Pedri encima de Kroos para no dejarle libertad de movimientos y obstruir la salida del equipo madrileño y Frenkie De Jong tomando a Modric para evitar que el croata tenga libertad en 3/4 de cancha donde es letal. Los Culés dominaron a placer el primer tiempo, la defensa del Madrid hoy mostró la misma cara que viene mostrando desde el partido ante el Rayo Vallecano antes del Mundial de Qatar. En el medio no hubo juego, Kroos y Modric prácticamente no se encontraban entre sí, pero todo esto tenía que ver más por mérito del Barcelona ejerciendo una constante presión en toda la cancha.

En los primeros minutos de partido El Barca comenzaría a avisar con un remate desde fuera del área de Lewandowski, que el arquero Thibaut Courtois sacó de manera increíble enviándola a un costado. El primer tiempo transcurría y el Madrid nunca pudo establecerse en cancha, mientras que los de Xavi iban con un rendimiento en aumento. El primer gol del partido llegaría en una salida en falso de Antonio Rudiger, que envió un pase a Camavinga de espalda y éste que fue anticipado excelentemente por Busquets, el balón le cayó a Dembele que de primera se la pasó al polaco y éste que de una le dió continuidad a la jugada para dejar solo a Gavi de cara al arco y poner el 1-0 en el encuentro. La presión le dió muchos frutos al Barca en este gol y él mérito hay que dárselo a uno de los mejores jugadores de la cancha como lo fue Sergio Busquets, rememorando sus mejores momentos en este tipo de partidos. Al cierre de la primera parte llegaría otro golpe directo al mentón del Real Madrid, esta vez Busquets y Frenkie armaban una buena jugada en el medio para que el Neerlandés ante la grave desatención defensiva del Madrid mandara un excelente pase en profundidad para el jóven Gavi que puso un pase perfecto para la definición de Robert Lewandowski totalmente solo y libre de marcas. Carvajal tuvo un grave error de ir a presionar en simultáneo con Eder Militao dejando el costado derecho totalmente solo a disposición del jóven mediocampista del FC Barcelona. Del otro lado Mendy nunca llegó para cerrar y hacer la cobertura a las espaldas de Antonio Rudiger. Con esto ambos equipos se fueron al descanso.

El Madrid intentaba con más empuje que fútbol encontrar los caminos para quedar de cara a Ter Stegen, el Barca tuvo una excelente labor defensiva en el mediocampo, los jugadores de Ancelotti nunca quedaban de frente al arco para intentar un remate y probar la resistencia del Alemán Guardameta del Barcelona. El que más intentó por parte de los de Chamartín, fue Vinicius Jr que nunca paró de correr e intentar, algo de lo poco que se puede sacar como rescatable en este equipo el día de hoy. El Real Madrid logró descontar con un tanto en los pies de Benzema y ponerle un poco de maquillaje al resultado para que no fuera tan escandaloso.

Al final el FC Barcelona logró la victoria, y con ésto llegó a su Supercopa número 14 sacándole ventaja al Real Madrid que ostenta 12.

Los Culés fueron ampliamente superiores y de no ser por Thibaut Courtois el marcador habría sido un auténtico desastre para los de Ancelotti y compañía. Quedarse con un jugador del Barcelona resulta tarea imposible, ya que para mí, todos jugaron a un nivel superlativo. No hay tiempo para lamentarse, el fútbol está en constante movimiento y en solo 4 días tendrá un partido muy exigente por Copa del Rey ante el Villarreal de nuevo en el complicado estadio de la Cerámica.

It is impossible to choose one player from Barcelona, as for me, they all played at a superlative level.
