steevc just finished a 14.29km run, that lasted for 89 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 1065.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
I was scanning barcodes in the rain at parkrun yesterday. I had an umbrella and someone brought a speaker so we had some music to cheer us up. The turnout was still pretty good.

It was hard to get up this morning. I have had some hayfever that does not help matters. I only had one beer last night. We were expecting rain, but it did not look too bad out there.

I decided to head over to Letchworth and Norton today. That involves some hills, but I was not planning to be quick. On the long straight after Fairfield I heard some people coming up behind and three guys overtook me. I was not going to try and keep up and they carried on as I turned off to Standalone Farm.

I was running some of the Standalone 10k course that I may enter again this year. I was wearing a shirt from when I did it in 2013 and have done it many times. The hills on the first part of that are hard work and I was already tiring, but I kept going.

I took the direct route back rather than trying to extend it as I would run far enough anyway. The selfie was on the cycle track between Stotfold and Arlesey. The wild flowers are looking nice this year and have been allowed to grow in places that used to be mowed. That should be good for the wildlife, but I have not seen many butterflies.

I felt I had run enough today when I got back. I need to fit in more runs during the week to get more distance in. It is raining now as I write this up and have my coffee. I do need to get out and do some things around the garden.

Great job pushing through the hayfever and hills brother. The wildflowers and your dedication are inspiring. Enjoy that coffee and the rain too

I can see you’re still staying fit. It’s been a long time I can on hive though, but I’m glad you’re still consistent 👍

Of course, you know not to overdo it, especially with the hay fever aspect, so good going here.

If I take a tablet it's not too bad. The rain helps too. I just feel I could be running better.

I know that you can do better but am thankful that you have the sense to take a tablet at this stage of your preparation.

Sorry about the hay fever sickness, hoping it goes away fast. +14km run covering at least a hill? Thats some tough run. I know you have been so consistent in your runs which helped. But then, you are doing great with this physical activity to stay in shape. Keep it up!!!

Hay fever is an annoyance, but I can take tablets for it.
