Shredding January [2024]

Haven't been uploading clips as frequently as I would like to due to too much work these past month but this doesn't mean I'm not shredding. In fact, I've been skating A LOT these past 2-3 weeks and actually been sitting on some sweet clips so I compiled them into this edit to get the Skatehive fam hyped!

Like father, like son!

Carnival here in Brazil is in full swing, it's a party everywhere. But Carnival is also good for those who like to rest, or even go for a family walk. Taking advantage of this extra time during the long weekend to enjoy yourself, be it your family or the parties, is always a good idea. I enjoyed it in my own way, a little fun and a little with the family, there has to be balance, it's the yin-yang that works!

Nihil Skate Session

Hello SkateHivers! All good? these days, I was invited by my friends Matheus Bodão and Jordy Lohan, to be together in a session to capture images for their new video, called Nihil Skate. We met at the Central do Brasil train station, and from there, we headed towards Campo do Santana. Campo do Santana is a large public promenade with trees and urbanization at the beginning of the 19th century. Its artificial lakes have banks that look like fun mini transitions, which when empty, make for good fun.

El Salado SkatePark + Waterfall in Colombia 🇨🇴

Writing from Keepkey Hacker house in Colombia, and guess what? I found a SkatePark Waterfall Combo in our 0.4 mi from our house in Envigado. 🇨🇴
Its a really good vibe, I just checked the first waterfall where the skatepark is , cause I am skate rat, but I am going to explore more there (tomorrow I hope)
In the skatepark I met Diego, he saw me balancing the camera on a corner to film myself and offered to film me, after that we took turns and filmed each other. He is very consistent and I saw a lot of first try flip tricks. Check our video :)

One step at the time - Back to the basics!

Zup skatehive! greetings from my bed. I still can't walk very well after my sprain. I try to walk a little last week because I was feeling very well and my foot was back to it's normal size but after my walk it swelled again and right now it's hurting me so I gonna use the crutches again for one more week or two. It's kind of funny because I was finally looking forward to recover my old street skill and not only focus in transitions as I did the last couple of years. This video shows you that I'm stoke relearning the basics in rails and ledges. Nothing to hard but this tricks went done with all the love of my heart❤️ Stay tuned at my crew's blog named @homelesscrewmx to se how good I was skating streets when I was teenager. That's right! "teenage dreams" is goin to be back now with videos of my self from those good old days. Love you all. Keep skating 4 20.

17/02-The Skateshop Day

Last February 17th, skateshop day is celebrated worldwide, and as it couldn't be any different, I decided to check out HD Bless to find more content and share it with my skatehiver brothers🛹❤️
Talking about the importance of the skateshop within our skateboarding culture is fundamental for us skateboarders, local skateshops are mainly responsible for keeping the culture and the local skateboarding scene alive, we are responsible for holding events and promoting the art of street skateboarding, and responsible for communicating to skateboarders what is happening in our skateboarding ecosystem, through the skateshop skateboarders get to know the name of the tricks, the name of the latest videos that came out, the name of the new and old brands that are on the market and where This is that new unreleased spot that keeps appearing in Instagram videos.
The skateshop is responsible for the connection between the skater and a certain brand long before the internet and all these modern things that exist today in 2024 existed.

Chilling in a layback life

When did 5-0 lay backs become easier than regular 5-0s? I guess after so much chilling on the asphalt waves @jorge.alcala got so used to joke on the board so now he doesn't know what to do to recover the conventional tricks like the Smith or the sliding 5-0, in any case, the guy just sent us a video where he left his crutches today after 3 weeks without taking a single step with his left foot due to a sprain. Now that he is back he will surely want to come back with more energy than ever for his tricks and he will give us many gnarly and fun things that our eyes will not want to miss, so stay tuned for more content from our brohter, as well as from the entire crew. Working to spread SkateHive to TikTok

This might not seem like a skate post, but trust me, it actually is part of my grand scheme to spread awareness of SkateHive, and bring more skaters to our platform. I've started two TikTok accounts with the goal to slyly help people understand why decentralized social media such as Hive is so important, and how we're going to revolutionize the skate industry with what we're doing here in the SkateHive community.
