Sports Betting With Bozz: Tough Luck
It was a pretty rough week for me as far as betting goes. I guess that is to be expected after the high I got coming off the Superbowl last weekend. You can't expect to hit it big every day right? The fact that I am only betting $1 per parlay means the hit is relatively small on my funds. I don't mind having weekends like this because I know ultimately it isn't going to hurt me too much and eventually I will rebound.
I made a bunch of soccer bets following @fullcoverbetting. I don't think some of them were exact matches, because the odds were a little different. I am not sure if that is because I didn't place the bet right or the fact that some platforms have slightly different odds.
I don't really mind that I lost these bets. I certainly don't fault FCB for them either. He makes it pretty clear that you shouldn't follow his bets and if you do, you are doing so at your own risk. He seems to be more knowledgeable about soccer than me, so I don't mind at all taking that chance.
More often than not he has led me to a win, so small setbacks like this are not really that big of a deal.
The good news is, these bets were placed on the crypto platform, so really all I lost out on was something like three or four EOS. Which really isn't that big of a deal if you talk to most people about EOS. Personally, I have more confidence in EOS than most people. Ask anyone else in crypto and they will likely tell you it is a crap coin.
This bet on Draft Kings was my sole win of the weekend. I put a bet that the Michigan/Michigan State game would be over 135.5 points. I knew it was a big rivalry game, so I figured there would be a lot of scoring. I wasn't disappointed and for a $1.00 bet I just about doubled my money. Not my biggest win, but a win is a win right?
You can see I also placed a parlay bet. That one didn't work out so well for me. Only one of the college basketball legs that I included in the parlay hit. The other three did not. I guess I should have know it would be risky to do a four leg parlay. Two or three is pretty solid, but when you get above that, it gets kind of crazy!
Fan Duel was quite unkind to me. Most of these bets I used the Pickswise site to place them. As you can see the last parlay with a three leg college basketball bet is the closest I came to winning. It is a bit of a letdown that Arizona couldn't cover the spread, but I guess you can't win them all.
Things are really starting to heat up with college basketball, so you are going to be seeing me do a lot more betting on that as we move into the conference tournaments and the big dance in March.
I'm hoping I can use the tournament to pad my bags and give me some more funds moving into the summer and football season next year. I've really been enjoying sharing these posts with you. It has also been quite exciting branching out into bets on soccer and other sports besides basketball and football.
Good luck!
Those are amazing betting tips..
Thanks, not sure they really worked out. In theory they might be good...
