Para mi es emocionante poder asistir a un evento y contagiarme de la euforia, de la pasión y de la buena vibra que transmite la gente que rodea todo el entorno, fue de las primeras cosas que se me pudo venir a la mente cuando asistí torneo de Beach Tennis que hubo hace unas dos semanas acá en Cumaná, en el hotel Venetur y poder disfrutar de las playas sucrenses un rato también. Si bien es cierto que es un deporte nuevo, entre lo que mis conocimientos respecta, agarró mucho terreno aquí en Cumaná, ya que hay una fiebre inmensa de muchas personas aqui que se matan diariamente para jugar sus partidas de beach tennis con sus panas, y sinceramente, no es mi deporte favorito o que me mate, pero si admito que me da curiosidad y ganas también de jugar un torneito de esos porque la emoción de la afición contagia jejeje.

For me it is exciting to attend an event and get infected by the euphoria, passion and good vibes that transmits the people surrounding the whole environment, was one of the first things that came to mind when I attended the Beach Tennis tournament that took place about two weeks ago here in Cumana, at the Venetur hotel and to enjoy the beaches of Sucre for a while too. While it is true that it is a new sport, as far as my knowledge is concerned, grabbed a lot of ground here in Cumana, as there is a huge fever of many people here who kill themselves daily to play their beach tennis games with their friends, and honestly, it is not my favorite sport or that kills me, but I admit that it gives me curiosity and desire also to play a tournament of those because the excitement of the hobby is contagious hehehehe.

Llegué porque dos de mis amigos me invitaron a verlos jugar ya que nos comentaron a Luci y a mi que fuera de lo que es practicar el deporte y ser participe del torneo, va mucha gente de la ciudad y se pasa un rato bastante agradable entre panas, que al final, en un fin de semana, es lo que mas se busca para salir del trabajo y romper con la rutina, además que los muchachos llevaban par de veces invitándome a jugar, por lo que era momento de asistir. Aparte que queríamos desde hace un buen rato ir a la playa a tomar aire fresco y pasar un día diferente, ya que para nosotros habían sido días bastante complicados y necesitábamos ver otra cara de nuestra realidad, porque lo que nos vino como anillo al dedo esta salida también.

I arrived because two of my friends invited me to see them play, since they told Luci and me that besides practicing the sport and participating in the tournament, many people from the city go and have a nice time among friends, which in the end, on a weekend, is what most people are looking for to get away from work and break the routine, plus the guys had been inviting me to play a couple of times, so it was time to attend. Besides, we had been wanting to go to the beach for a while to get some fresh air and spend a different day, since for us it had been quite complicated days and we needed to see another side of our reality, so this outing was perfect for us as well.

El torneo en si comenzó mucho mas tarde lo esperado, porque mis amigos me dijeron que comenzaba a las 2:30, por lo que Luci y yo nos fuimos a esa hora y cuando llegábamos teníamos la playa, las olas y las canchas para nosotros solos jajajaja, obviamente nos reímos de eso y al final mis amigos terminaron llegando que si a las 5:30, excepto uno que llegó un poco mas temprano porque fue el que nos dijo xD. Pero luego de que realmente el evento dio comienzo, que fue a las 4pm, me quedé loco y medio, de la cantidad de gente que va para allá y hasta la hora que tienen permitido estar en la playa, o sea hasta las 3-4 Am y eso es bastante inusual acá, pero justo ahora, se está volviendo un poco habitual, pero solo los días de evento.

The tournament itself started much later than expected, because my friends told me that it started at 2:30, so Luci and I left at that time and when we arrived we had the beach, the waves and the courts to ourselves hahahaha, obviously we laughed about it and in the end my friends ended up arriving at 5:30, except one who arrived a little earlier because he was the one who told us xD. But after the event really started, which was at 4pm, I was crazy and a half, of the amount of people that go there and until the time they are allowed to be on the beach, that is until 3-4 am and that is quite unusual here, but just now, it is becoming a bit usual, but only on the days of the event.

Pude presenciar partidos antes de que tocara la llave de mis amigos, y me di cuenta que hay bastante nivel aquí en cumaná, que al final la gente realmente por mas que sea un pasatiempo, si está comprometida con esto porque hasta a muchos los ví con sus indumentarias y raquetas propias para jugar, lo cual ya te deja claro que es otro nivel de compromiso que tiene esa persona que la de un jugador promedio pues. Aparte que se van diviendo por categorias, yendo desde alevín hasta Open, que vendría siendo la categoría avanzada y ahí era donde juggaban mis amigos. Cuando presencie esa categoria me di cuenta que ahí ya juegan personas que tuvieron o tienen relación con el tennis tradicional, por lo que los saques, los golpeos, los tiempos, son otro nivel que solo te deja sumergido en un tensión y emoción de saber quien marcará el punto primero.

I was able to watch matches before my friends' key was played, and I realized that there is quite a high level here in Cumana, that in the end people really are committed to this, even though it is a hobby, because I even saw many of them with their own clothes and rackets to play, which makes it clear that it is another level of commitment that person has than the average player. Besides that they are divided by categories, going from fry to Open, which would be the advanced category and that was where my friends played. When I witnessed that category I realized that there already play people who had or have a relationship with traditional tennis, so the serves, the strokes, the timing, are another level that only leaves you immersed in a tension and excitement of knowing who will score the first point.

Estas son experiencias que me gustan vivir siempre, y por supuesto, siempre estoy dispuesto a repetirlas con todo el agrado del mundo, poder presenciar siempre las playas y la arena de cumaná es sabroso y compartir el rato viendo un poco de deporte aún mas.
