Tanak tested with M-Sport Ford ahead of WRC Rally Finland 2023

Hi, friends!

You can't win the World Rally Championship if you are not fast at any kind of surface or any kind of roads, being fast, technical, narrow, twisty etc. Complete package is needed for the WRC crown and Estonian Ott Tanaka has it all because he managed to win it in 2019 with Toyota.

And yes, Toyota has the best car for years, to be precise - from 2019, when Tanak brought them a title. But they are really the best because they invest more money then any other team, have the best engineers (still despite the fact that Hyundai brought some of the best, and results tell more in Toyota favor) and I must admit that budget in racing is just something which brings the difference.

I think that Ott Tanak made a mistake when he left Toyota for Hyundai four years ago but that was because of a big contract and I understand that. His cooperation with Hyundai didn't give him a fruits he wanted so that's why he left them one season earlier then he had to because he broke a contract just to leave and the team which gave him a first chance - M-Sport Ford is now his new home.

They are trying but they don't have the budget of Toyota and Hyundai and this way you just can't win the championship. OK, they can do good at the fast and flowing roads like Estonia but they lost any chance of a good result after they had to change the engine just before that rally. That's what Tanak doesn't need from them.

He needs more testing and more reliable car, and that's it. They tested before Finnish round of the World Rally Championship and that's the next event which starts this week.

Here is the video from the test. Please enjoy... :)
