The sky is blue...

...and the temperatures are high.
I had to suffer a bit to finish this short run that shouldn't have given me problems at another time but today it was so hot that it was hard to breathe.

The truth is that, under these conditions, the body, if it is not well adapted to the heat, invests more energy in "cooling" than in the act of running and it shows in the performance and also in the heart rate.

It has been difficult for me to keep my heart rate below 150 bpm even if I run at a 5'/km pace, although I can't say that I was jogging either, 6km in 28 minutes isn't slow IMO.

The question is to maintain my level of fitness, even if currently it's poor, until the summer vacations when it's going to be difficult for me to run, at least during the first 2 weeks on which we'll be in Yucatan... Maybe when I return from the trip I'll go back to have the opportunity to do some trail running in the Pyrenees.

Keep on running!
