What a Game Morocco, What a Win!

Greetings everyone, as the world cup keeps going on and as we are reaching closer to its end day by day, today we just had another fascinating match but probably not much fascinating for the betters because the result is the opposite as everyone expected.

Spain vs Morocco

Who do you think is going to win between these 2? From the stats and the name most are going to say Spain but that is not what happened today as you read from the title. The 2010 world champion team is defeated today! Not from the normal time but after it got passed, after the additional time passed followed by more and finally the moment of penalties came which gave the decision of the match, for the match.

Before going deep, the possession of the ball was mostly in support of Spain the whole time and they were the ones who tried to score more but the actual aim for the ball to the target count was pretty low compared to their number of tries.

Morocco's fans on the other hand were so tensed by the looks on their face due t the match because Spain is not an easy team to defeat and even more when you are in the world cup, in the knockoff stages. the amount of pressure is tremendously insane for the players and the lovers of football for their teams. Joys, sheers, and cries were all over the stadium after the results were announced.

Dissatisfactions and tears of happiness/sorrow went through the eyes of the players and the fans. Once I was happy for Morocco's supporters and fans as they got the victory but on the other hand, Spain made me think the opposite. Rest, nothing can be done now, and let's go through the penalties rounds, if you think worth some time, do consider giving me by reading some of my words :)

I REPEAT: MOROCCO GREATEST TEAM OF ALL TIME https://t.co/riDm5KLW6K

Penalty: The End

  • Morocco

If I remember correctly, the first toss for the captain like which side of the stadium they would like to play the penalties was won by Spain and who would do the goal try first by Morocco. Morocco decided to score first and THEY SUCCEEDED!
Shouts all over, giving higher hopes for everyone who was there for Morocco.

  • Spain

THEY FAILED THEIR FIRST ATTEMPT. The goal was not even stopped by the keeper but rather went away after clashing with the goalpost's bar. This hurts in my opinion. Personally, it would be better if it is stopped (again, my opinion)

  • Morocco
    THEY SUCCEEDED! THEY SUCCEEDED AGAIN!
After the first successful score, their second attempt also went in the favor of Morocco. Third, they missed but now it doesn't matter, WHY?

Because Spain Missed their first attempt, as said. They missed their second attempt, they missed their fucking third attempt, and now if Morocco just requires 1 more successful penalty goal and the match was theirs and that's EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED.

They succeeded in their 4th attempt, making the game for their side, ending the match peacefully for them but not for Spain.

The prayers of the fans of Morocco, were listened to by god. Here is something I would like to add, once you are done with 100+ minutes of watching the match and after that what you see is the whole previous 100 minutes are wasted and now the whole match would be decided mostly on 10 kicks, it sometimes becomes frustrating haha...I joined in the 2nd half of the match and being honest if I would have joined even later na that would have been better but ultimately, PENALTIES GIVES GOOSEBUMPS.

What I Predicted?

As you read in the first paragraph, I was one of them who voted for Spain. As per the data I saw recently, Spain and even Morocco did not have any "so good" records of winning in penalties you cannot say that "YES! This team could win penalties for sure!", there was doubt the whole time before the penalties started who has more winning choices but ultimately, Morocco wins with 3-0 penalties.

I am not sad this time that my prediction went wrong but my mind blossomed with the happiness on the faces of Morroco's player's fans, that was delightful, their hard work worth it alternatively, THEY DESERVED IT.

Just goes to show you have to win the game in normal time and not wait for the lottery with penalties. Japan messed up last night and now Spain so who is going to fail next?

Yea, still it is appreciable from Morocco's side as it's not easy to hold Spain for 2 hours. Brazil? 😂
If yes, NO WORDS!

I am glad Morocco went through, not that I dislike Spain, but it is good to not have only teams from the same group of countries in the quarter finals. Only thing I don't like is I am a Portugal fan and I think Morocco will be more of a challenge than Spain would have been. As for the penalty shots I think they should be eliminated, if after 120 minutes a game is still in a draw the team who goes through should be the one with the best record in the group stage, I think this would be fairer. Sometimes games lose vitality because one team decides they will park the bus and decide it on penalties.

Actually, but for teams it can be an opportunity when for instance they are not able to get much ball possession, penalties giving them a chance to win an qualify. Considering Morocco's past matches, you could be right. Let's see how it all goes...
