This match sees 2 teams who have been left licking their wounds a little after their last outings.
Sydney Sixers were well and truly put in their place by the Stars in the top of the table clash at the weekend with Marcus Stoinis and Hilton Cartwright leading the Melbourne based franchise to well beyond 200. In general, the Sixers bowling line-up has been very efficient but on a couple of occasions including that game and the match in which Chris Lynn got stuck into them they've lost control and been batted out of the game in the first innings.
Chances of Hobart Hurricanes doing the same seems pretty slim following their record low score against the Scorchers. They've been threatening to be bowled out for a comedy total in the last couple of games prior to that so perhaps it shouldn't have come as much of surprise. With just 6 points so far this season, this game represents a must-win match if they hope to make the playoffs.
Other than the above mentioned Chris Lynn inspired knock the SCG has proven a difficult ground to score on. Good news for the bushfire crisis in Australia is that heavy rain has moved in from the north of the continent and that could cause some thundery downpours in Sydney on Thursday.

2 in a row! Fortunately for you no one actually reads the blog where I did mention it would probably rain but you’ve got the lowest guess and therefore you take the win

Confused confused. If sixers play first it is going to be a high scoring game but if.
So, lets say 179 by 6rs and 114 by hurricanes. About, 293? Lol

318, I think is better choice as slower wicket track.
