To say that the Heat's from this year has been difficult to predict would be an understatement. Twice they have hit beyond 200 runs in an innings and even in their last rain effected game their 119 came in quickfire time with Tom Banton recording the 2nd fastest 50 in BBL history. However, if you take a closer look at the Heat's performances one thing is becoming very apparent - they are a much better side batting first! Perhaps that is understandable with their top-heavy batting line-up but it must also come down to their psychological approach to an innings. Anyone reading this might consider waiting for the toss to be concluded before making their guess because that could a massive bearing on the scoring in this match if the above pattern repeats itself.

The Hurricanes like the Heat have done just enough to hang in there and give themselves a shot at the playoffs. D'Arcy Short has taken a while to really get going in the tournament and while the Hurricanes will be glad of his century against the Scorchers they know they will now need to do without their star batsman for at least a couple of weeks following his call up to the Australia ODI squad.

Again the Gabba surface is one that tends to slow-up as the innings progresses so batting first and making the most of the powerplay will be crucial towards the scoring in this match.

I believe it to be a high-scoring game but I also doubt both teams would make it past 170 so 328 seems like a safe call. Fingers crossed
