All Hail King Alcaraz
Finally, the 2023 Wimbledon came to an end last night in a thrilling fashion. I feared the worst when Djokovic raced clear to take the first set with an emphatic 6-1 scoreline. Alcaraz not only looked flustered, his perceived weakness on the grass court looked set to doom him against a perennially ruthless Djokovic. The Serb has made the tournament his own in the last five years and is yet to lose at Centre Court in 10 years. With a set down, it all looked ominous for Alcaraz - the result felt inevitable.
Seriously, I have nothing against Novak Djokovic as he's a legend of the beautiful tennis sport. However, it's nearly impossible to love Federer, Nadal and Djokovic at the same time. Federer remains the tennis player I love the most - retired or not. I have deep admiration for Nadal though it took several years to admit that considering the amount of heartache he put me through each time he bulldozed his way past Federer in a Grand Slam final. Djokovic is the one to hold the massive respect tag. And, I definitely wanted Alcaraz to defeat the Serb.
With Federer retired, Nadal and Murray gradually edging to the end of their careers, Djokovic looks like the real last man standing from the late 90s to early 2000 era still playing regularly at the top. At 36, it's understandable that Alcaraz's win was tagged as the changing of baton. However, I believe Novak will win the one Grand Slam that takes him to 24. Heck, he may as well get 25 and claim the record outrightly - I won't bet against that. But, for now, let's celebrate a 20 year old talent who has been termed as 'having no weakness' by the great Serb himself.
Sulking Harry
I read Harry Maguire was upset that he was stripped of the captaincy by Erik Ten Hag. That's quite unbelievable because he never deserved the captaincy in the first place. Only Solksjær can explain his reason for handing the Manchester United captaincy to a dude that was just coming from lowly Leicester. It looked stupid then; thinking about it right now it still looks stupid. I hope Chelsea or whatever team linked to the dude completes the deal and takes him far away from United. He's a liability of immense proportion.
Finally, the news that Marcus Rashford already agreed to a new deal gladdens my heart. Add a prolific striker to partner the dude - not something unpredictable like Martial, yes, something - and United will have a better season than that of last season.
In the meantime, start experimenting with your FPL team now. You don't want to fall into the trap of procrastination. A good start is now very important with the huge amount of people participating in the game.
Your take on Harry Maguire was correct, whenever he is featured in any match he always puts his team in great danger.
Marcus Rasford signing a new deal is pretty cool, this guy is a young player but with great goal sense.
Thanks for sharing this detailed information.

Even though we know that we don't deserve that which we claim to be ours, it's always difficult to let go. We are bound to get angry when it is taken away from us.
Planning ahead always makes for greater success.
