AFCON 2022 - As expected, we saw a riot of colors at the opening ceremony
The African Cup of nation has finally begun and each game is giving us a lot of talking points and entertaining moments.
Cameroon,
Burkina Faso,
Ethiopia and
Cape Verde
are the four countries in Group A and they played their first game of the tournament yesterday.
The opening Ceremony was filled with a riot of Colours as many people were in attendance to watch the fixture between Cameroon and Burkina Faso. In the next few days, we expect to see more riot of Colours, loud African music from different part of the country and cracking game plays.
VAR is also making a case for itself. 3 penalties have already been given out of 4 games played. More entertaining moments awaits.

Nice round up and glad to hear you're enjoying AFCON.
I guess most of the big nations will have a lot of players who play in the top leagues in Europe and will be used to VAR and the style of refereeing in these big tournaments but for some of the smaller nations it will be a steep learning curve!

Yeah... African players are doing well across other top leagues in Europe.
Today, Senegal had many players from top European Leagues. The same goes for some of the top African countries. I find it interesting and I have seen a good reaction from foreigners who are also paying attention to the tournament.
Thanks for your comment. I appreciate it ✌️
