OCD Sports Curation Incubation

This is the final report on the @ocd Incubation Curation Report for this year and most of us would love to kiss this year goodbye. Worryingly it looks as though it is more of the same for 2021, but all we can do is hope.

This week we have seen slow growth crawling our way up to 951 members adding another 12. We have come a long way from just over 3 months ago when we only had 722 users on the site. I would comfortably say @ocd has attracted a number of new people so a big thanks to them for including Sports in their curation program.

This morning whilst looking for posts to curate it was an absolute pleasure as there were many decent and interesting posts covering many various topics. I think this is what separates the decent authors against the rest of us who try so hard as they find different topics to write on in the sport of their choice and no post is similar. I have noticed everyone has raised the quality they post these days compared to 3 months ago and that will have an affect attracting new users to @sportstalksocial.

Over the last 3 months we have had a number of new authors join our ranks who have helped raise the standard and we need more of the same next year. many of you should be following these top authors already and if you aren't please give them some support by visiting their blogs. Everyone is important, but have highlighted these authors as they constantly deliver high quality posts and have helped raise the standards in general.

One more point I need to highlight as I have already contacted some of you is to be curated we need to have an English version if the post is in another language. Some of you have benefitted as I support all languages as I have personally got to know you over the last 18 months. @ocd has a policy however that they need an English version so we need to abide by the rules. Many of you do this already, but others are missing out and will miss out if this is not adhered to.

There is a bit of a buzz around sports these days as there are changes a foot with development in the pipeline. All we can do is keep busy and pushing sports into the spot light. This community is valuable to everyone on Hive as I believe it is the one tribe that appeals to the masses and the scope is huge on where we could all take this.

I would just like to thank each and every one of you for making this curation role for me so enjoyable. We all have a busy year ahead next year and have a solid foundation from which to launch. Once again a big thank you to @acidyo and his team for helping us with such incredible support.
