Bozz Family Fantasy Football Week 6: When Winning is Losing
It was a quiet morning in the Bozz household on Tuesday morning. No, I wasn't drinking at 5:00 in the morning, but I kind of wish I had been. I opened up my fantasy football app to find that I had somehow managed to beat @mrsbozz in our recent match up.
Yikes!
As I said, few words were exchanged between us as I gave her my condolences and she replied with a terse "whatever".
I think that's one of the things I love about her... how competitive she is. I was really hoping she would win this week. My season is basically shot, I really didn't care one way or the other what happened to me. After losing the first four games of the season, I have kind of given up.
The sad thing is, I didn't even beat her badly. It was a pretty lackluster week for both of our teams. We just had awful showings and unfortunately, she had a more awful one than I did. The good news is, this doesn't put her at the bottom of the league, that honor still belongs to our sister in law who hasn't won a game yet this year.
Unfortunately, it does put her at second to last. The good news is, I am sitting right there with her in 10th place with a record of 2-4. there are about three teams with an even record of 3-3, and then the rest of the field (six teams) are sitting at 4-2. It's pretty clear that no one is running away with the season this year.
We might still have a chance!
As you can see, Allen was back in his normal form this week. Hopefully he can avoid the head injuries and stay that way. None of my other players really showed up though besides Swift from the Bears. I am still shocked that he was available for me to pick up. Someone really dropped the ball on him!
Pierce with zero points would have to be the biggest disappointment this week. As far as @mrsbozz goes, she had a lot of disappointment on her side of the bracket. Those single digit scores and negative scores don't help at all. She has already made some moves on her team after her loss this weekend.
I need to make some adjustments myself. Especially with more and more teams having bye weeks now.
As you can see, neither of our benches would have done us any good this past weekend. Sure Goff had a massive game against Dallas, but honestly a lot of that was attributed to the running backs. They were just running unfettered through the Dallas defense.
I'm looking forward to this weekend where I don't have to play my wife. I hope that I can come away with a win and start the road to redemption.

Had a buddy come to me once and brag about finally winning an argument with his wife. He was so excited.
So, I had to explain to him how "when you win, you lose and when you lose, you win"
One of the very few things I understand about relationships with women for a man.
🤣
Haha, that is too funny. I think many of us have been there once or twice!
More than once or twice for me... I am a slow learner.
That was a close one! haha
Yeah, didn't really go the way I had hoped. Usually after winning against my wife I go back to losing again. This week isn't looking great after last night.
