Bozz Family Fantasy Football Week 15 Recap: It's Over!
Cue the band, hold the fireworks, tell the cheerleaders to shove their pom poms up their... It's over. With one exceptional performance by a specific Buffalo Bills player, my chances at the family fantasy football championship are as gone as that Thanksgiving turkey.
I was feeling pretty good coming into the weekend, I was projected to win and my team has been playing pretty solid lately. In fact, my team didn't do a horrible job this past weekend. My opponents team just did better.
There's still two more rounds to go in the playoffs, so it wasn't a for sure thing that I was going to win it all anyway, but I at least would have liked the chance. As it sits, I'm probably going to end up in the middle of the pack for the season.
I'm honestly pretty bummed.
As you can see, I was projected to win 108 to 91. As I have said before though, you can never count on those numbers because any range of things can happen between when they publish them and when the game is actually played. It's heartbreaking though because it gets your hopes up. Kind of like when you get that big upvote on Hive, but you know that rewards aren't final until the payout happens seven days later. Right?
As you can see, the monster game by Cook is what really did me in. In addition to that, my brother in law had some players that just put up really consistent numbers. Like I have said all season, if all the players on your team can hit their averages, it should be a pretty easy win for you every week.
Looking at my numbers, the big disappointment for me this week was Kelce. Perhaps all that time with Taylor Swift is finally starting to get to his head. He was doing pretty good earlier, but this is just not what we expect from a franchise tight end.
Miami killed it on defense. I can't ask for much more from them than what they did for me. It was impressive. Kamara could have done better, but 11 points seems to be about his average lately. Which honestly is okay if all the other players are pulling their weight.
I'm not mad at my team at all. I'm more mad that Cook had such a great game.
After Detroit had their monster game on Saturday, I was feeling a little bad that I didn't play Goff. I said to @mrsbozz, "If I lose this week because I didn't play Goff, I'm going to be mad". Sure, his 31 points was impressive, but it still wouldn't have been enough to push me past my brother in law. For that I would have needed Kelce to actually show up as well.
He was clearly the week spot in my team this past week.
Meanwhile, my wife lost her game as well in the consolation bracket. It's likely she could finish the season near the bottom where last season she was closer to the top.
I'll probably still check my lineup for my consolation game next week, but at this point, it doesn't really matter.
This week my brother in law and his wife are facing off against each other which is kind of too bad because it would have been nice to see them face each other in the championship game.
What I do know is that another year has passed and @mrsbozz and I are still the only pair in our family where at least one of us hasn't won the championship yet.
Maybe next year!
I am not much of a sport fan but I like the energy I'm getting from this post.

LOL Yahoo! Fantasy for the win. That's the OG. I'm only in one Yahho league this year. We did and All Star league with 6 of my friends.
I drafted a bunch of QBs trying to corner the market. Lol I'm on my 5th. Rogers, Burrow, Cousins on IR...Lawrence is beat up lol
Oh dang, you should have totally picked up Goff! :) We have been using Yahoo for quite a while now. I've honestly never used any of the other ones.
Whenever you two team plays, one of them wins but your team feels sad. U You can enjoy the game, win and lose.
