Old news and but still.

Well, I've been off for a while trynna stick some shits together, but here's what I stumbled on and want us to discuss.

Brighton, one of those dangerous teams in the premier league last season. But on recent terms, I didn't really notice how poorly they've been performing, however, their recent 3-0 victory over new castle united might just have placed them on a safe spot from relegation, but how long?

I am rooting for Fulham to escape relegation and Newcastle to drop into the relegation zone. The former plays attractive football and the latter bore me to death. They deserve to go down.

Need to jump back into the sports discussions. It's been a busy week.

Arsenal playing West Ham today. West Ham are dangerous this season. 7 points ahead of Arsenal and a challenger for a spot in the CL or EL. A win for Arsenal will close the gap to only 4 points and things will start to look a little brighter. If Tottenham sees a loss to Aston Villa Arsenal will be par on points with Villa but only 1 below Tottenham. Today is a huge and important match and one that Arsenal can't afford to lose. Let's go!

Ind Vs Eng T20 Cricket results from yesterday :

India won by 36 runs

India 224/2
England 188/8

and India won the series by 3-2

Any thoughts/review ?

I personally thought it would be a little more equal but I know there were quite a few people yesterday rooting for India winning. I was 50-50 on both sides and didn't have any favorites but I thought England had better chances. It's a little too bad my prediction did live up but it just a guess.

I've been MIA lately but I'm back!

What is the biggest sport or sports in your country? Do you like them or you prefer other sports that are not so big where you live?

I live in Brazil and obviously the biggest thing here is soccer. I really like soccer but my favourite sports are Hockey (which is almost non-existent in Brazil) and American football (still small here, but growing a lot).

What about you?

In the US, it tends to be mixed but I think its basketball, American football or baseball. There is no huge main sports.

I like basketball because its fairly nice as you can play by yourself if you wish. And if you got friends, you can play together.

Yea, I'd imagine it's quite mixed in the US!
I have never been much into basketball but that changed a bit after I watched that Jordan documentary "Last Dance" on Netflix. A very interesting story that made me look differently at basketball

Yea that documentary is fairly good. The only downside of basketball is their reliance on China and how they bend their knee to pressure. However the game itself is good.

I was born in India and Cricket is the biggest sport there and i like it
I live in Ireland and biggest sport here is Football and Hurling.
Hurling is like combination of Hockey and softball.

I never watched a cricket match, but I see a lot of people here talking about it and I'm curious to watch one.

I don't think I ever heard of Hurling before! Sounds interesting. I'll look it up!

HOCKEY

The Montreal Canadiens defeated the Vancouver Cannucks last after overtime. The game was very intense and ended in a 4 x 4 draw. Neither of the teams were able to score during overtime so the game was decided on the shootout.

For those unfamiliar with the term, the shootout is the ultimate tie breaker in hockey. It's a 1 v 1 duel between one team's skater and the other team's goaltender.

Both goalies did a solid job here but Montreal was able to find the net twice and bag it. Here's a video of the shootout and I'd like to highlight the goal by Petry (the very first player on the video) and the goal by Tatar, at 4:30.

Yea I find those tie-breakers full of suspense. There is plenty of pressure on both sides since one mistake costs you the game. I honestly would not be one of the goalies.

True! And it's 1v1 so it's all on you! Must be very hard on the players indeed!
