All Over Now
I was a bit premature the other day saying the Formula One season is over, but it is now. Mercedes finished yesterday with the new 18 inch Pirelli tire test which involved 118 laps more for George Russell. It is going to feel odd for him when he climbs back into his Williams car next season.

The bigger tires do change the cars appearance and it gives a stronger feel and look.
There has been some extra news worthy items regarding next season already and one of them is that there is no secrecy on design allowed. In the past teams used to do testing behind closed doors and the car was always covered up. Now the FIA says teams are not allowed to do this as they want the fans and media to be able to see what is going on.

2010 car back then and below the 2019 car this year. Most of the changes would be under the body work but there are some obvious changes on the exterior as well.
Personally I think this is going too far with their rules as this has always been the case. The teams work tirelessly on their new designs and why give away something before the season has already started. If it was me I would have two cars and do testing at night with the genuine one and have the fake one for during the day. The rules are going too far and they are trying to remove any advantages the teams may have over each other.

Found this one quite humorous as this was the Williams pits at the start of last season during testing. No one would want to copy them right now so there was no need to cover anything up.
Lewis Hamilton has had rumors of him going to Ferrari ,but why would anyone leave this all behind? Hamilton has been involved working alongside engineers and developers on their AMG Project One car for the last two years. Loads of the Formula One technology has been put into this car and it is about moving it from the race track to a normal car. This is by no means normal, but it is a step down form the Formula One cars.

I would say he probably has the dream job of most motor enthusiasts. This is why he is more than just a driver for Mercedes as he is part of the company. Other drivers go home and rest yet here he is spending time with Mercedes. If he isn't on the track he is in the factories and why I can't see him moving anywhere. Mercedes will fight for him to stay even if the latest rumor is Verstappen has been phoning Toto Wolff for a driving seat for 2021.
Bottas was away winning his first rally event in France so it looks like these guys are either on permanent holiday as they love driving so much or they don't want a break.

They are look great , am sure they will be magnificent after the body work.
I can only imagine driving such a car designed with the fomular one technology. This looks really cute. Mercedes is never limited in ideas, innovations and creativity.
For Lewis Hamilton, his dedication to cars and driving simply shows his love for the auto industry, not only the sports. He'll probably also consider investing heavily in it if he is not already doing so.
The 18-inch wheels look really nice. They will also fit really well on the 2021 f1 cars.
The countdown to Melbourne is on...Now...What to do, what to do...No F1...Hmm...F1 re-runs!
It really seems like the governing body is trying to make the sports as un-fun as possible. I would think you would want teams to be innovating and creating new things, but at this point what would the benefit be. You are just going to be told it is against the rules.
I sincerley stopped to think and judge any F1 developments. To me - as an old German Formula drive lover there has not been any positives within the last years. I was watching Nürburgring and Hockenheim Ring in times where no German driver was near to be successful - many years before Michael Schumacher turned up!
Starting with sound of car, hurdles for teams to make sure a "so-called" more competitive and exciting racing for the audience and MOST Important - getting rid of grid girls - how can you cut the dicks out of a real cool male sport that much - is it still Liberty to own and market that stuff?
I agree the sport seems to be going backwards.
Fingers crossed ownership goes back to real sports enthusiasts or a change within the company might help
