Ok so the picture may be slightly misleading as I'm not talking about that kind of sack race but instead a contest to see which Premier League manager or head coach gets given the boot first in the coming season.

At this point, I'd like to say that you don't need to know anything about football/soccer to enter this contest as this is a competition based on luck rather than skill or sporting insight. All you need do is be one of the first 20 users to comment below and you will be in with a chance of winning 20,000SPORT tokens

The sweepstake is a fairly common occurrence in the UK. Usually, it involves everyone putting a token amount of money (say £2) into a pot and drawing a team(s) from a hat. If your team wins the corresponding competition then you take all the money in the pot. Simple, right! In fact, while it often involves sports like The Grand National horse race or Football World Cup I have recently been involved in sweepstakes for the Eurovision Song Contest and Great British Bake Off. For many people involved it'll be the only form of gambling that they take part in on a regular basis.

Do you have this kind of competition where you are from?

The above represents the current managers/head coaches in the Premier League. The eagle-eyed amongst you will notice that there are only 19 names on that list with Newcastle only having just appointed Steve Bruce and it would appear I'm faster at typing than the guys who run the Premier League website! Therefore the 20th name on that list and in the sweepstake will be Steve Bruce - Newcastle. Given that #Bruceout is already trending on Twitter then he might be a good name to get despite being the most recent appointment!

How the sweepstake will work

• I'll be using this helpful little website to draw the teams

• The "places" on the draw will be based on the alphabetical order of Steem users official user name/wallet name i.e. if your user name is @aardvark69 then you'd likely be "place 1" on the draw compared to @zzzzzzz2 who'd be place 20

• I will screen capture me drawing the teams and post it on DTube so that you can see that the contest is all above board

• Only the first 20 people to comment will be entered into the draw. 1 entry per user

• This contest closes at 8pm GMT on Wednesday 24th July, entries after then won't count. I will be carrying out the draw at approximately that time (9pm BST for me)

• The winner of the 20,000 SPORTS will be the person whose team changes manager first after 8pm GMT 24th July. The reason for the individual leaving their job is irrelevant i.e. they could be fired, resign, leave due to poor health, get abducted by aliens, anything!

• I reserve the right not to payout to any user who has been caught consistently abusing the platform with comment farming, plagiarising or any other verifiable form of abuse

• In the highly unlikely event that no EPL manager leaves their current position during the 19/20 season then the 20000 tokens will be split evenly between all entrants - 1000 each
