The Ole at the Wheel Brigade of Ex Players Are Very Quiet Now.

Ole Gunnar Solskjær did not win an away game with Manchester United since they had their emphatic win away at PSG back last March. However it was all rosy in the garden back then as United had won 8 games in a row and had just knocked a big fish out of the champions league. I remember vividly ex United players got ahead of themselves and publicly appealed for Solskjaer to get the job on a permanent basis. Solskjaer was contracted until the end of the season. The board wanted to see how he would do. They had all the power. If he didn't do well then they would just shake his hand, give him a pat on the back and send him back to Norway happy with the fact that he was called on to manage the 3rd biggest club in world football. If he finished the season well they would give him a contract. Seems straight forward. But in March after the game at PSG the ex players and some members of the class of 92 were in hysterics.

Why won't they just give him the job? I found this amusing. The season had a long way to go and ex players and pundits were putting their reputation on the line without even knowing. Watch Rio Ferdinand succumb to the 'Ole's at the Wheel' hysteria.

Ohhh Rio no wonder you are not calling for his sacking after that. The only way out of it for you is if he does well.
After the PSG match I was full sure Gary Neville wanted to have sex with Solsjkaer such was the 'neutral interview' he did with him. I think he did actually kiss him in the interview. United were back. The old days are back. Ole is at the wheel.
Since then United have not won an away game..Ole has aged 20 years and Ferdinand is being heckled for supporting a permanent contract. But the problems are deeper here. Who would give a failed manager of Cardiff City a permanent job at one of the biggest clubs in the world solely based on sentimentality and a few powerful ex United players going on TV and making a fool of themselves? Ed Woodward would. Now there is the problem. Ole has to win today against a woeful Newcastle. If he doesn't win they have a long international break and then have Liverpool next. This will be a massacre if they do not improve. The international brake may give the board time to think or get a new manager. It is clear he is out of his depth.

Ex players, pundits and the British media is the reason why football is a joke in England. I remember those days where ole seemed to be a god at the theatre of dreams now I think the ole now is currently on a wheelchair

As you said, "problems are deeper here", but the problems are not all Ole. I really believe it will take some years to see MU back where everybody got used with them to be.

Newcastle at home will not be a pushover for a terrible team like United. Low on confidence and players who rate themselves more than they should. I don't think they have hit the bottom yet and still think they will be in a relegation battle this season.

I just want to say I am sorry I doubted you on the Ole issue. I am 100% ole out and I will prepare your 50k sports in liquid. Not even going to bother watching football again this season. I am done.

And it’s a loss. Probably the worst Man U team in my living memory, gutted.

Looking at the squad, even Fergie isn’t saving these lightweights from mid-table obscurity at best. Shite.

It is really crazy how this guys quickly jumped on praising Ole, he was still feeding on players motivation!!

The players just wanted to prove to the world that Mourihno was bad...!!
I am a United fan and I wish we are thumped by Liverpool so that Ole is sacked hehehe.
