The Year of the Lewi
What a year it has been for the Polish number 9. It seems like he scores everytime he touches the ball. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not one to glorify a player's performance over the team but the sheer number of goals and influence he has had this season is something that can't be overlooked.
Comparing his total goal haul of 27(17 in 12 Bundesliga fixtures) in just 20 competitive fixtures this season, the striker is scoring 1.33 goals every game. That's an insane feat and the closest to him in the Bundesliga is Timo Werner with 12 goals.
Putting this number into perspective, he's scored more than 7 teams in the premier league table and other than Liverpool, Chelsea, Leicester and Man City, the other teams only sparsely surpass his 16 league goals(He's played fewer fixtures, might I add).

I think this is his year and he's going to be in the running for individual awards, if they don't play their usual dirty politics. Lewandowski is insanely underrated and is by far the best striker in the world right now. Period!

He is on fire right now 🔥
I guess it helps that he plays with such high quality players around him and in a league where attacking play is the norm. Still as you say that shouldn’t take away from his achievements and it’d be good to see a pure 9 get at least one of the big awards
He's not just the sauce, the man is the whole fucking pot. If he keeps this up, he's on course to match Messi's 2010 stat. That would be insane
