The Engagement League
This league is not based around financial rewards and relates to engagement.
Everyone currently on my master list has a chance here - including those powering down or dealing in delegations over the past couple of weeks.
I've used some metrics relating to:
- Posts (P)
- Comments - number of (C)
- Number of people spoken to (PS)
- Comments - replies to replies - depth > 2 (C R)
- Comments - length in characters (C L)
- Witness votes (W) (for those proxying witness votes, your total is always 30)
- Up-votes to others (V)
- Up-votes to different authors (U V)
- Self-votes - a small minus score for this one, sorry! (S V)

No, the price of Steem in my specific case has nothing to do with it, I had to change jobs and I have much less time to devote to this platform, I would like to go up some position again but it is hard, there are also few Italian users who post, so it's even harder

No, I am simply trying to return to the top positions, it is not easy for me at this time, you will not remember a small minnow like me, but last year I came in 4th absolute position in the Engagement League for 2 consecutive weeks, I would like to revive those placings, but I would be satisfied with even less

Very nice to see the weekly numbers all up a little bit, that is always good. As for myself, pretty consistent with last week, but I do need to get out a little bit more comment wise, and unique vote wise, I keep getting close to the four cent vote level, and have actually thrown a few 25% votes which I really do not like doing but they are on compilation post that I make on a rare occasion. Some of the slight drop could be playing with my ALT account in the PALnet land, Not sure about it yet, still have 4 days before the first week in there ends.
I was happy to see that I made the curation league again, two weeks in a row for that for me. I think it means that even though my votes are still small, that they do have an effect. I am still going to continue to try to stay at 50% vote level for as long as possible, and am looking forward to the 4 cent vote level so I can get back to comment voting with out dusting myself into oblivion, or relying on others to pick up my slack votes.
Enough about me, congratulations to everyone participating, when we know where we are then we can figure out where we want to go. That is the beauty of these leagues, they give us a vision of where we were and help point us to where we want to go. So thanks a lot Asher and @paulag, I certainly appreciate your helpful tools, and the bonus is sometime I get a bonus.
Yeah they ticked up quite nicely this week. And i think they'll go again next week too as STEEM slowly but steadily climbs out of the pit.
A couple of 'old' registrations have popped up in the past week or two, I'm taking that as a good sign. It will be really nice to have those non-negligible votes being made by 500/1000 SP accounts again - more chance to share around as the price rises.

Even though I'm super happy with my position in the top 10 these last couple of weeks, I find it a bit unacceptable to be in 8th place with a score of only 5600...
Three months ago, @janton scored... how much? 30 000 or so every week again. 5600 wouldn't have been enough to reach top 20.
It's a sad SteemIt worl these days. 😔

Ignore the scores, they are just there to order the list :) I play with the numbers and they have been reduced/tightened up recently, and so you can't really compare them to last months.

I seem to be slowly but surely working my way back up. Almost broke a hundred comments!
I think simplymike more or less said what I've been thinking for a while. Not so much about the points (you've ratched those down so even Janton would be good to reach 18,000 with similar numbers), but the overall state of engagement.
However, we did do better than last week, on all counts (including self-votes—whoa), so that's all positive. It would be nice to see all of that continue to go up, but I don't know if that's going to happen, given the general outlook that seems to be following people around lately.
At any rate, the engagement and curation leagues continue on. Thank you, Asher for staying the course and hanging in with us.

The overall figures are nicely up, and I think that as long as STEEM continues to rise, these numbers will also. Although, the top 100 are the top 100 and there's not much more the top 10/20/25 could be doing - it's up to the rest to boost the stats.
