England need 385 on final day while Australia needs 10 wickets on final day to win.
Steve Smith second successive hundred in the Test match and Matthew Wade's 3 Test hundred helped Australia stretch their lead to 397 runs as they declared quite late after the third session. England were 13 for no loss at Stumps with plenty of work left.
