Brilliant But Also Dumb Warriors Fan Says He Had A Trick To Get Courtside Seats For About 30 Home Games

Golden Warriors fan Trevor Laub had a wonderful grift going at the team’s arena that allowed him to sneak courtside for games. And then last week, he revealed it to all the damn YouTubers.

If you've ever went to a professional sporting event you've probably seen that many seats better than your own were open. If you've ever waited for a couple innings / minutes of the game to pass and then moved down you know what this kid was pulling off. He was just smart enough to make it a step improved by creating a digital copy of open tickets to show to ushers that gained him access to the lower level.

It's a smart move and highlights why sporting events need to adopt tokenization for tickets. If arenas used "smart bands" similar to Disney bracelets they'd be able to instantly ID ticket holders. Combined with tokenization these tickets could then be moved from holder to holder much more efficiently.

He was pulling a pretty slick move. Sounds like something I’d think of to do.

Smart bands are the new wave!

Yeah I can't tell you how many Reds games I've been to where I buy a $5 nosebleed seat and wait until the 3rd or 4th inning and end up sitting on 3rd base field. It doesn't hurt that no one wants to watch a team constantly lose.

Yessir, my dad taught me the same exact thing. Actually at Reds games as well. I learned at a young age that even if you weren’t financially well off you sure as hell can live like you are!

Definitely going to add scarcity to the open seats he could have got away with. Maybe we should recruit this kid for SPORTS to help burn tokens :P

By the looks of it he likely adds scarcity to open seats and needs to burn more than just tokens! :D

Smart kid, he has a sharp mind and good observation.

Tokenization would be the best move in this scenario, but I don't think, they are gonna do anything, even a slightest thing, any time soon, though.

Agreed, @patvickulrich, he would be a good candidate for the said task & Agreed, @abh12345.sports, he needs to burn more than just tokens ... LOL

Wish you guys a lovely day ahead
