Houston Astros phenom Yordan Alvarez wins AL Rookie of the Year

The 2019 Major League baseball awards started with the American League Rookie of the Year award.  It was a unanimous selection.

Yordan Alvarez took home the award.  He had an incredible season which started in AAA.  He played all of April in the minors before being called up.  The numbers he put up in Little Rock did not stop.  He crushed it in Houston winning the third ROY award in franchise history.

He was also a part of the team that went to the World Series before giving up the last two games to the Washington Nationals.
