Novak Djokovic is currently 32 years old. He still have years to play, maybe 6-8 years if he wishes to play until his early 40s, the age when athletes usually retires.

He can still play well up to early 40s

We cannot say but I think he still can play well at his early 40s until he retires. Roger Federer is now going 40 soon, and still playing. Though, he is thinking about retirement, but not very soon. At his age, he is still doing well and currently at number 3.

On the way to year-end number 1

Djokovic is currently at number 2 at the year-end, behind Rafael Nadal. But Nadal is having injury, which Djokovic expressed his concern for his fellow player. Is it an opportunity to reach the number 1? Of course, everyone aims for it.

Meanwhile, regarding this website which I usually checked for tennis news, they seemed lacking at proofreading. Some of their news are pretty messed up, and a commenter in the post expressed his opinion too.

Many athletes want to play until a ripe old age. Unfortunately, often the body gives out before they heart does. The simply truth is injuries tend to mount as an athlete gets older.
