Why Blocking Punches Sometimes Doesn’t Work in Street Fights
Many things you think you can do but actually you cannot do that in a street fight. When someone punches you, you defend that punch and then attack him. Well, sometimes it happens so fast that you cannot even see the punch clearly coming towards you.
Yes, sometimes blocking does not work in street fights. So what are you doing to do? Stand there and get hit on your face with punches.
There are some skills that you can develop through training. You understand the situation better. Your observation skills will increase. Sometimes you depend on intuition. You feel it coming and react fast.
You can get the idea by observing the opponent body position and the intensity of the situation. The way he stands, you can guess which hand he can use to throw a punch. So you can put your hands up and try to calm him down. When you see a little movement like opponent shoulder moves, you can react pretty fast and attack.
Through training, observation, and experience, you can develop the skills that put you in a better position to deal with any situation in street fight. You have to have the mindset right to face this situation. Confidence is really good. But overconfidence is dangerous. So know what you are capable of doing and think based on reality.
The key point is, if you react fast, or take action before seeing your opponent punch coming towards you, you can deal with this kind of situation successfully.
