What Should You Keep In Mind To Defend Against A Choke - Women's Self Defense
Someone puts his hands on your neck or throat. Is he your boyfriend or husband? This is something you should get serious about.
If someone is going to choke, he will not just touch your throat. As soon as he grabs your throat, he will apply pressure. When the attacker puts pressure on your throat, if you do not do something instantly, this is going to be a big problem.
You think you will hit to the groin, do this and do that. But can you really do that when someone chokes you?
If you want to do a knee charge and hit to the groin, most of the time it might not work since the attacker is not close enough to hit him and you cannot move forward. If he gets close while choking, you can do knee charge.
To defend against a choke, first of all, make sure that you can breathe. So drop your chin and make your neck tight. The attacker can grab your throat but you can still breathe. Then you can attack.
You can do many things. You can grab the attacker's thumb and pull it outside. You're using your force against the attacker's thumb. The attacker is not able to grab your throat anymore. You can do palm strikes to his face or punch him.
In case the attacker holds your throat so tight that you can move his hands. You can hit his toe with the heel of your foot. Now you can move his hands away from your throat.
In order to defend yourself against a choke, you have to react fast, make sure that you can breathe and counter-attack instantly.
