STEEM listed on Easycrypto.co.nz
When trading STEEM to fiat or, more importantly, fiat to STEEM, all of us run into the problem that we often have to use a different cryptocurrency as an intermediate step.
Be it Bitcoin, Litecoin, or some other coin, it's an unnecessary extra step that costs us additional money, and the rates on the exchanges can be unreasonably high.
Any exchange that makes buying STEEM with fiat easier is thus worth paying attention to, enter easycrypto.co.nz!
Easy Crypto is a 100% New Zealand owned crypto exchanger with a Financial Services Provider license in New Zealand and a membership in the FInancial Dispute Resolution Service (FDRS); these properties make it a trusted and reliable exchange.
At the time of posting, Easy Crypto offers 64 different cryptocurrencies to buy with and sell for New Zealand Dollar (NZD)!
Among these coins are not just Bitcoin, EOS, Ethereum, Monero, and Tron, but most importantly STEEM!
It's a step in the right direction, and hopefully, a sign for other exchanges to follow suit and also offer fiat-STEEM trading pairs.
In addition to the ability to exchange STEEM directly for NZD, Easy Crypto also offers a customised Portfolio Tracker, customer support, and a 100% Funds Safe Guarantee, once they've received either NZD or the cryptocurrency you're trading.
We guarantee ourselves and our suppliers, e.g. if we send your funds to an exchange and that exchange gets hacked - we will still honour your trade.
So far, the exchange rates are between 0.5% and 1.8%, depending on market conditions, which includes all exchange and withdrawal fees.

Is there an api for accessing market and account data?
Yes they do actually, have a look at this link https://learn.easycrypto.nz/api/
This is a great step forward.
Thank you for bringing this to everyone's attention.
Having the ability to buy STEEM in New Zealand is very important. Now to get the rest of the world to follow suit.
Agreed, I'm working on a few exchanges to list Steem. One being a credit card provider.
Lovely. I might try it.
dont like co.nz after cryptopia scam ;) but good to have new exchange
NZ is a very reputable jurisdiction, it was just bad luck regarding cryptopia, many other locations have had exchange hacks including Japan which is also reputable. It's rampant everywhere.
More crypto exchanges using steem, the better in terms of stability and legitimacy.
