5 Over Powered Items In Video Games
We have seen it in Mario Kart, the guy that was in last place grabs a star and rushes to first right before the race comes to an end. Items and weapons in a game can really make a difference to how well you are doing and some of them are a little too strong. This can be an item from any game. You know the ones, the op items that break the game and the ones that people wish were not in it... unless they get their hands on it.
Splinterlands: Prince Rennyn
I had to throw some Splinterlands in here. To be fair with the changing rules of every game there is no one card that is too op in the game but this guy shows up in a lot of matches when the rules are good for him. The Earth faction is strong in this game with little cards that give return fire the ability to give your troops plus one to range can really turn a fight in your favour. There is a reason this guy is selling for $37 right now.
Goldeneye 64: The Golden Gun
Even the name says its op. If you have not played Goldeneye (you have my sympathies) you can set different weapons to be used in multiplayer. And one of the settings was to add the golden gun to the list. It had to be picked up and if I recall was in the same spot every time in each level if you knew where yo look. And we would all run to it. Whoever got their hands on it could win the game with a weapon that only took one shot to get a kill. To be fair it did have limited ammo and you did need to reload after one shot so you didn't want to miss. But if your aim was good enough it was game over.
Mario Kart 64: Star Power
Where we are going we don't need roads. Want to cut across a random part of the track and not slow down. If you have star power go for it. Not only did you speed up with this item and could negate slow down from taking short cuts you could also knock over anyone in your way and cause them to spin out. Mario Kart worked to give people in the back better items. This made it more fun but in a close race a person with a stat could take the lead right before the finish line.
Super Mario World: The Cape
If you knew how to craddle with the cape you could literally fly over every level of the game. Okay there were some castles were the ceiling stopped you but besides that you could go through level after level in the skies. When you did it you were off screen for most of the time so you didn't see anything
NBA Jam: On Fire
Okay I don't know if this is technically an item but man did it kick ass. When you got three uncontested baskets in a row with the same player the ball was on fire when you shot it. This meant you could almost not miss as long as you were pass half court. You could do some cool dunks with it but we all did the same thing and shot three after three to get that lead up. Then you desperately tried to play defence so you could the power on your next offence go.
Any items you want to add to list?
I know there are a lot of Splinterland players on here so tell me about a card that keeps owning you

Grabbing a star, becoming invincible and smashing to first place is a perfectly acceptable strategy :p
If you are a SkyRim fan. The Bound Bow is very powerful. It's intended for a higher level character. But ... if you try, you can get it at level 1. This essentially gives you the offensive power of approximately level 20.
