My Actifit Report Card: November 6 2019

avatar

Today I was feeling better. I didn’t get as many steps as I usually do, because I spent a good portion of the day doing some programming. Normally I don’t have to do any programming, because most of the products we work on are products that we do every day. For those, I just have to load a program that is already made and just change the variables for the length, the width, and thickness as well as other things. But for some of the products I was working on today, I didn’t have any ready-made programs, so I had to create the programs by following the drawings for the products.

Usually I get pretty close to 10,000 steps during my normal shift at work.

Apart from that, there isn’t very much to report.

So that’s it from me for today.

Thanks for reading.

Until next time, have a good one!

I'd like to know more about that programming process...

I've never used a CNC but I've got a vague idea of how the machine needs a "toolpath" to follow... Do you bring a drawing into some CAD software and work of that or is it actually "writing" instructions?!

You don't have to send me a whole run-down in the comments here, but it would make for an interesting work related actifit post on another day, too ;)
