¡Hey, cómo están, amigos Hivers de la comunidad Full Deportes! Espero que todos estén muy bien. Hoy compartiré con todos ustedes lo que hice el pasado viernes 11 de abril con los muchachos en la cancha deportiva que queda al frente del parque Las Ballenitas. Cuando llegué a mi casa ese día, recordé que cada viernes va un grupo de adolescentes que tienen 18 años a jugar voleibol. La verdad, quería hacer otro deporte que no sea el mío principalmente; actualmente, en mis metas quiero practicar más disciplinas y tener más habilidades en lo que es el mundo del deporte en general.
Hey, how are you, fellow Hivers of the Full Deportes community! I hope you are all very well. Today I will share with all of you what I did last Friday 11th April with the boys at the sports court in front of Las Ballenitas Park. When I got home that day, I remembered that every Friday a group of 18 year olds go there to play volleyball. The truth is that I wanted to do another sport other than my own; actually, in my goals I want to practice more disciplines and have more skills in the world of sport in general.

Había llegado muy cansado; sin embargo, le mandé un mensaje por WhatsApp a uno de mis amigos más cercanos con quien suelo entrenar. En el mensaje dije: "¿Jugamos voleibol con los chicos que van a ir hoy?" A lo que me respondió fue un "sí", que en un rato se alistaba para salir. Yo, por lo pronto, comencé a bañarme y a organizar las cosas que me iba a llevar, principalmente agua, ya que en el voleibol saltamos, corremos, etc. Así que la hidratación es muy importante. Cuando llegamos al sitio, ya los muchachos estaban jugando, así que antes de ponerme a jugar, empecé a calentar mi cuerpo.
I had arrived very tired; however, I sent a WhatsApp message to one of my closest friends with whom I usually train. In the message I said, ‘Shall we play volleyball with the boys who are going today?’ To which he replied ‘yes’, that in a little while he was getting ready to leave. I, for the time being, started to take a bath and to organise the things I was going to take with me, mainly water, because in volleyball we jump, run, etc. So hydration is very important. When we got to the site, the boys were already playing, so before I started playing, I started to warm up my body.

Los chicos que suelen ir a jugar voleibol son un grupo de personas las cuales, al final de cada partido de voleibol, dan un mensaje para motivarnos y seguir jugando en este deporte. Yo personalmente, cuando comencé a jugar, no sabía sinceramente nada; como cualquier persona que inicia en una nueva disciplina, a veces lanzaba el balón muy fuerte y no daba tiempo para que pudieran salvarla. Sin embargo, poco a poco estoy aprendiendo; nadie nace aprendido en esta vida, chicos. Practicar este deporte es muy divertido; hay risas y la concentración que tienes al ver el balón. Todos los que estemos jugando debemos estar pendientes para salvarlo y evitar perder el ritmo.
The guys who usually go to play volleyball are a group of people who, at the end of each volleyball match, give a message to motivate us to keep playing the sport. Personally, when I started playing, I honestly didn't know anything; like anyone who starts a new discipline, sometimes I threw the ball too hard and didn't give time for them to save it. However, little by little I am learning; nobody is born learned in this life, guys. Playing this sport is a lot of fun; there is laughter and the concentration you have when you see the ball. All of us who are playing have to be alert to save it and avoid losing the rhythm.

Por los momentos en la cancha donde estamos jugando no tenemos una malla de voleibol para poder jugar mucho mejor; más que todo para beneficiar a la persona que sea árbitro y lleve bien los puntajes de cada equipo. En el partido en el que estaba jugando yo, mi equipo llevaba 9 puntos comparado con el otro equipo que ya estaba cerca de alcanzarnos con 8 puntos. También jugamos por eliminación; es decir, el que se le caiga el balón y no logre pasar queda eliminado, así sucesivamente hasta quedar solo dos jugadores en la cancha y quien falle es el perdedor chicos.
At the moment on the court where we are playing we don't have a volleyball net to be able to play much better; mostly for the benefit of the person who is the referee and keeps the scores of each team. In the match in which I was playing, my team had 9 points compared to the other team that was already close to catching us with 8 points. We also play by elimination; that is, whoever drops the ball and fails to pass is eliminated, so on and so forth until there are only two players left on the court and whoever fails is the loser, boys.

Al final del partido repartieron unas donas y refresco. Dieron su mensaje motivacional para seguir adelante pase lo que pase, ya sea en el deporte o en algún problema personal de tu vida. La verdad disfruté mucho jugar voleibol; practicaré muchos más deportes a lo largo de este año chicos. Fue un gusto compartir este momento que viví con ustedes. ¡Bendiciones!
At the end of the match they handed out donuts and refreshments. They gave their motivational message to keep going no matter what happens, be it in sport or in some personal problem in your life. I really enjoyed playing volleyball; I will play many more sports throughout this year guys. It was a pleasure to share this moment with you, blessings!
