We Are Alive And Thriving - My Actifit Report Card: August 19 2022

Good evening everyone,

Hope you're doing great this evening. Wish you all an excellent week-end.

We had a pleasant and sunny weather, throughout the day, but right now it is raining. This came at a time I needed it most. Apart from this, the day was stressful, but in all am grateful for being alive and thriving.

In the early hours of the morning I made a two hour trip to a place called Kati, the capital city of Koulikoro region in Mali. That is where the biggest military camp of the country is situated and it is also the base for the military junta in power.

It totally slipped out of my mind that I was going to a heavily fortified military environment so early. Even though the area has always been highly secure, to the best of my knowledge there were no security check points. It was a great shock, that I had to go through nine checkpoints in and out of the camp, 😅 a no joke army styled "stop and search operation", I have never experiencd all my life.

I got back home an hour ago, took my bath relaxed for a while and started making this post.

Yeah, I least expected such. We were told that it became necessary due to an attack at the baracks few weeks ago. Thank you for your concern.
